James, the project manager, kept things moving, listened and stayed in touch throughout. And Oscar--the guy who actually did the pavers was very responsive and made a beautiful pathway! There were a couple parts that had to be redone, but they owned it and made sure everything got fixed properly. After walking around the yard to look over the project and later, sending my drawing of what I was looking for in greater detail he came back with an estimate. Glad to say I was sitting down when I saw it. After talking with the wife we decided to scale back the project to just the patio, but have I.L.D. supply us with enough Flagstone for us to do the pathways on our own as time and energy permit. We did custom remodeling work for 14 years since my forced retirement in 2003, but decided to completely retire in 2018, so the budget was a major concern. David's revised estimate was still more than we expected, but knowing the amount of labor involved, we agreed on the price. David's crew was able to start on our place the following Tuesday and completed the job by the next Monday after that. I was happy with the professionalism his crew displayed and the attention to details that made a difference in the end product. I was impressed with the stone-work, and the respect shown to our property by all the workers. The crew supervisor did suggest a change to the job after digging out for the stonework, that increased the total area. They have worked together for many years, and Mike was also helpful with some design ideas for the landscape. Mike did an excellent job with both the irrigation and the lighting. His quality of workmanship is second to none, and he takes great pride in his work. For our lighting, we had numerous pathways and architectural features lit, as well as lighting on the front elevation of our two-story house. It truly looks spectacular. He will be by this week to provide a quote. 1st update Wes cam out for a quote. Gave a few suggestions on what he would do that I had not thought of. Quote was not the lowest, nor high test, but his high ratings and great rating with the BBB was the thing that swayed my decision to use him for this work. More to come. 2nd update Work started today. Wes's workers were on time, courteous. They explained what they were going to do, and verified with me exactly what I wanted. The form was set, ground leveled. Concrete will be poured tomorrow. No issues encountered today. 3rd update After a delay, which was on the concrete company's part, the patio was poured today. Wes and his team showed up on time, and got to work. No real issues yet, except for it being a few days later than I had hoped. 4th update As promised, Wes's team was back out today to finish the work. Removed forms, finished beams, and cleanup. No hidden costs, no unexpected issues. Overall, a great experience. I will use and recommend them again if the need arises.
