Brides! SAVE YOU THE STREES. I would not recommend this place at all. First fitting was great, the…read morenightmare came when picking up suit for wedding. First two mid-ages black ladies were working and seemed very irritated I was picking up tux. Once tried my tux on, I told them the pants were too long, the lady assured me they were just right, I said no they need shortened, so they just break above shoes, not drag on floor. After my third request she got eh seamstress from the back and she immediately told me they were too long. As she was fixing I sent a picture of tux to my daughter the bride. She looked at the picture and immediately said that's the wrong vest. I told the lady and she said that is what was ordered. I said well they ordered the wrong vest, can we get new ones by Friday (this was Tuesday}. She said yes but there would be a change fee. I said change fee? You ordered the wrong vest, its not a change we want the one she picked out. She stood there and arguued with me what it will be a fee. I talked to my daughter and she said never mind, this close I need to pick my battles cause she had another problem. Her Fiancée had not received a text to pick his tux up so they called the Lees Summit location. They found out his tux was never ordered. Lees Summit manager told them there might be a problem getting his tux here in time. After going round and round with them my daughter finally had to call the corporate office to assure that one would be here in time, It finally arrived Thursday afternoon. So now back to me, I take the tux over to her house so she can see the vest in person. She said she would have to live with it, but noticed my white shirt had a big stain on the back of the sleeve. so back to Independence store I went. The same ladies were still there and were so rude when I walked in with their stained shirt and asked for another one. One lady took the shirt looked at it walked back out with a different one, not saying one word. I looked this one over, and sure enough it had a stain on it too. These were noticeable stains, not just light ones either. Again she took it went and got another and handed it took we with not even another word, so hey im sorry, or anything. Finally this one was ok. To all the brides out there that have been planning your beautiful wedding, you don't need this stress. As a company as a whole cause, we worked with different locations, this is a very poor service company. From other reviews I would stay clear know that I have read the other reviews.

Keith and Team were presented with an impossible challenge, and rose to it. Late the week of 1/20…read moremy son, the Marine, lost his great grandmother. By serendipity, he was on home on leave during her passing, and agreed, when asked, by his grandfather, the Airforce Vet, to cancel his plans, drive 8 hours, and be present and uniformed at the funeral. Great Grandma married an Army Air Corpsman after a whirlwind romance in 1942. She would have been quite impressed by the uniform. After all, she kept the last one over 50 years. In packing on Sunday night for a Tuesday morning funeral, our Marine became aware that his SIZE 14 patent leather shoes had not made the trip with his blues. Because Grandpa was so appreciative of his presence, that he assigned him pall bearer duties, ONLY the dress blues were appropriate for the event. I began first thing Monday morning calling any store in the KC area that had a sliver of a chance of fixing this problem in 24 hours or less. Keith and his staff answered their phone - no phone tree. They knew their inventory, their rental and sales abilities, and they jumped into action. When I arrived at 0930 the next morning, they had a plan A, a Plan B, and epic customer service and attention. I have blanked out the Marine's face as it was taken after the funeral. After fulfilling his duties at Mt Washington Cemetery, uphill, during a week with a rather lot of moisture, his shoes are no longer in regs... but they certainly completed the mission.

I found parking to be relatively easy and walking in the place has an inviting atmosphere. I mention that because I've been in other Marshalls before where I left feeling depressed. I like the larger open-air environment but enough distractions to keep my subconscious engaged. As for the employees, I found them helpful, personable and were able to check me in and out relatively quickly. As for the clothes selection they had a decent supply of mid-level name brand along with some harder to find selections. Since I'm writing this at the end of May, obviously their focus isn't on fall or winter which was perfect. I actually applaud their effort to keep most of the clothes in logical order, in that there weren't too many clothes that were shoved in a spot by lazy shoppers. They have many sizes and selections in men's and women's as I noticed while I was shopping with my two teenage girls. That said from a teenage perspective my girls weren't too impressed with the styles provided in clothes and my youngest wanted makeup but didn't find anything to her liking. I'm just conveying her thoughts for the younger crowd. Marshalls is clean and has decent prices and they maintain a very safe and comfortable shopping experience. I suggest coming in for all clothing needs and walking around for a bit to see if anything else grabs your fancy. I didn't check the changing rooms so you're on your own there. However, considering everything else I wouldn't worry to much about that.

Then I noticed the layout of the store. It was beautifully laid out. Very clean and organized. I shopped through the entire store, checked out every department and was impressed with how well the store is kept.
