You will not be disappointed! We toured with Jake two days in September 2013 and had the time of our lives! He is super friendly, outgoing, and knows his history. He tells great stories and is a great guide for all ages. We combined the Partenkirchen walking tour with the famous brewery tour and also took the tour of the Neuschwanstein Castle on another day. Jake was also very helpful in giving us tips and recommendations for our trip to Oktoberfest, which we did on our own. We hope to make it back to Bavaria someday and will definitely book another tour when we do! read more

We happened upon Jake when we visited Germany a few years ago. He spent many days with us, and showed up parts of Bavaria that I know that we would not have seen without him. He is very well-educated and well-connected, personable and patient. We had two teenage girls with us, and he made every excursion fun for them too. Jake is a professional, and he makes everything so much fun. Jake quite literally made our vacation. read more

History
Established in 2009.
I have been a tour guide for many years but finally took the plunge and opened my own business in 2009. It has been amazing. I have been truly blessed with great reviews and awesome clients. It doesn't hurt that I adore the history, culture, and people of Bavaria. I moved here fourteen plus years ago and plan on never leaving. I married a beautiful woman from here and we have two gorgeous girls who keep me just as busy as my business.
Meet the Business Owner: jake d.
I was born in south Louisiana, went to university in Atlanta where I studied European history before moving back to New Orleans. After several years of working in the oil field industry I made my way to Europe and never left. I have lived all over Europe from England to Italy but have made a home here in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. I fell in love with the region over fourteen years ago and plan on staying at least fourteen more. I have won tons of awards for my study of local history but my pride and joy is the awards I have received from the Wounded Warrior Program and the Red Cross for my work with soldiers who have come to this area to heal and to recover. I would love to show you around so give me a call!
