Every night on the way to dance, we found ourselves stressed out as we discussed wedding preparations and costs, but as soon as we started dancing we were smiling and laughing and couldn't even remember what we were so stressed about. Neither my husband or I had taken dance lessons in our adult life before this time, but Tess met us right at our skill level, and not only taught us the parts of music and several types of dance, but also made it so much fun. Even after our wedding had passed we knew we had to keep dancing as it connected us to each other in a special way, giving us a skill we learned together. Our daughter attended this studio with her friend who's mom is a dance instructor here... she absolutely loves her dance instructor and spent months working on her dance, even putting other activities she loves on hold to dedicate her time. The day of her performance, i dropped her off with her instructor and just a few short hours later she called me crying saying that the stage manager, Kelly Osbourne was so rude and was making other kids cry by yelling at them and forcing them to stay in small rooms where the heat was unbearable. My daughter told me that the heat was getting to her and I told her to leaving the building to get fresh air but she said she was terrified that Kelly would yell at her and she just wanted me to come get her. I encouraged her to stick it out since she had worked so hard. In talking to other adults that were there, I learned that another member also needed air do to some breathing issues and when she stepped towards a door for air she was accosted by Kelly telling her to get backstage, even stomping her foot at her and saying "I said NOW".... This was told to an ADULT!!! I can not imagine just how she was treating our children if she was speaking to an adult with breathing issues like this. This was my daughters first experience with dance and I know this will be her last due to the experience she endured here. I would NOT by any means recommend this studio to ANYONE especially those with young children.

They are the only place in town that had the dance shoes that I needed for my daughters recital. Great prices. The building is a little sketchy, but don't judge a book by its cover. The store has just about anything that you would need for a children's ballet class/recital. Next time we need anything for dance ,you can bet that we will be back.

Her students tend to be an older crowd of women. This is a good class for older women who just want to have fun, enjoy a very light workout, and socialize/make new friends. I personally prefer a more rigorous class at a faster pace. I didn't feel like I got much of a workout and felt that my progress was very very slow. Also, the dance studio is quite small and gets crowded when she has more than 7 students in class. Don't let me harsh critique discourage you from trying Zarifa's classes. I happen to be very critical when it comes to fitness-related people, places, and classes. I can see how this could be 5-star quality for the right people :)

However, classes should be priced a little lower due to the fact that you more than likely share a pole with other girls, the instructors to intro to pole and beginners are NOT professional (or seem to have the knowledge of) pole dancers. I have been to a location in another state and we were taught NOT to do certain things the way you are taught here due to possibly injuring yourself. Most things that should be corrected are said 'whatever is comfortable to you' Your classes can be cancelled at any given time to fit their (instructors) schedule. Majority of the time, the classes (beginners) are booked and you are often told to still show up Incase some people don't show. There are times where people will be on a couch waiting and you feel uncomfortable as if you're being watched. There is no a/c in the warehouse so the door would have to be open if you want cool air. Luckily, it's behind the winco. I give this place a 2. The woman Shallan is the owner and very sweet. However, I feel her students take advantage of her position and authority. Shallan and the instructors are the reason why this place gets three stars. Even though they have all these cons, they have pretty good customer service, keep a smile on their face, motivating and their restroom is always clean. I personally feel that It's not fair if you pay a monthly membership at an unchanged rate and the chances of you getting a full work out is 50/50 due to their class of 2 to a pole. It's also a great plus that they have 2 showers! I was very happy with this gym and would recommend it to anyone in the area.
