The setup and teardown on our wedding day went so smooth, they set everything up exactly how I envisioned it and everything looked amazing. We rented their farmhouse style tables, chairs, a dance floor, all the place setting items, and an area rug and everything turned out so great! It lets you achieve all the "DIY" things you thought you could do and wanted to do but in reality didn't have to do. Our wedding was still a very DIY, family run affair but the special touches from this rental made all the difference. A lot of places like this are only found in Portland or just plain impossible to find so I felt so lucky it was down here in Salem! They were very patient and professional with me, being one of the first weddings of the season (early April) and sat with me and my now wife in the shop through two longer than expected occasions going through our order, changing little details to stay on our budget and giving helpful suggestions. Then Dorri also have multiple phone calls with me before and during the wedding sorting out more details and helping me pick out furniture pieces over the phone. Her descriptions and consideration were right on point and the pieces worked out perfectly even though I didn't get to see them in person as I was choosing them! She even offered to special order us "Mrs. & Mrs." pillows or signs when she saw me notice the cute "Mr. & Mrs." signs. We opted not to but such consideration meant a lot to me. During peak wedding season they don't deliver but being an early wedding we got lucky! The delivery guy could have been a little more punctual (40 min late, because his phone died and he had no directions) and things had slid and fallen in the truck in transit. Amazingly enough out of a full box of fallen ceramic plates not one broke! But he did get the unloading and reloading done quickly and the delivery option was a real deal sealer for us. I would encourage the business to try to maintain this option even during peak season if they can (maybe with a higher charge if need be?) It's such a time saver and stress relief for a busy bride to not have to think about how, and when, and who will safely transport all these decor items. One banner got swapped out with the wrong one but when I let Dorri know she was surprised and sorry, and my mother in law came and picked it up the very next day. Dorri even let us keep the one that was added on accident and the one we did request for no extra fee. Also having the rentals for three full days was SO helpful for a family run wedding to set up the day before and tear down the day after! Our guests seemed to really love all the vintage and personal touches the items we rented gave to the personal feeling of our wedding. The whimsical rustic tables made each space feel special. So many guests commented on and asked where we got the vintage cutlery (almost all the tea cups for coffee got used! Partly I think b/c people wanted to pick out their favorite retro tea cup ;) and the cake display was exactly as I had hoped it would be! In a phone conversation on July 19th Paul told me that it was in the contract that he could keep that money for 30 day.
