Smile DJ's completely butchered our son's wedding ceremony. It couldn't have been worse. A recap:…read more *Matt was supposed to be our DJ and did all of the advanced planning with our son. We knew that Matt had a good reputation, but he didn't show up to our event as agreed upon, and he didn't even have the courtesy to call and let us know. *Instead, he sent a back-up, who claimed to have 20 years of experience, to perform the services. He told us they were short a person and that Matt had to cover another event. He said that Matt may still make it to our event, but we don't believe that was ever the case. *Harry showed up with not enough time to get set up or to be fully prepared for being thrust into an event at the last moment. He did meet with my son for ten minutes to quickly attempt to get up to speed, but he interrupted the pre-wedding photo session. *The ceremony: things went HORRIBLY wrong during the ceremony. Harry started calling out the names of the wedding party as they walked down the aisle. We've never seen that happen in our lifetime of attending weddings. He was so disorganized that he clearly was reading from the reception agenda, and not following the ceremony agenda. Not only that, he called out the wrong names. He also played the wrong music twice, and to make matters even worse, he started playing the exit music while the Pastor was still giving the blessing. It was a complete hatchet job to put it mildly. *As for the reception, he followed the playlist and the sound was very good. However, during his rushed set up, the photo booth, which he failed to anchor properly, blew over in the wind and suffered damage. It was unavailable for part of the reception. Harry spent way too much time working on the photo booth, which distracted him from his emcee duties at the reception. Therefore, the agenda was not followed as outlined. *When we followed up with Matt about our experience, his initial reaction was that we were wrong, and he proceeded to gaslight us. It wasn't until the following day that he realized we were 100% correct because he heard from somebody he claims that he knew that was at the wedding and witnessed it first hand. It was appalling that he basically accused us of lying. There is no way we could ever recommend anyone using Smile DJ's for their event based on our experience. We spent many months and long hours putting this together, and Smile DJ's had a significant negative impact on the proceedings. It was still a special day with many blessings, but we still can't believe how bad they messed up their role in it. We wouldn't even give one start if that was possible.

Not only was it a photo booth, it had a slot in it that guest can safely put their cards in that only can be unlocked with a code. The entire experience from start to finish was extremely enjoyable as Tony was very responsive - even late at night. There are a lot of templates for the photo booth and print outs - you can even customize it if you are able to design it yourself.

Jack was our DJ and he was incredible. Leading up to the wedding he was so chill, answered all of our questions, was so patient, worked with the venue to figure out the set up in advance, collaborated so well with our sax player, and during our actual wedding he made pivots whenever we asked him to. Even late night after our photographer left he captured some INCREDIBLE candid photos without us even knowing because he knew that there wouldn't be professional ones taken!! He went above and beyond. We actually found out about Apogee because we went to a family friend's wedding and they were the DJs which is how we found out about them. They're so kind, so responsive, offered so much guidance, etc. The DJ set up at the actual venue was understated and classy, Jack MC'd the event perfectly, we had a Photo Booth which was awesome.....they literally went above and beyond in every way. Their online planning tool is simply AMAZING and I could tell this wasn't their first rodeo. Allen provided some of the best customer service I have ever received in answering some questions and providing support regarding a unique situation with our wedding, and I knew it go off without a hitch. I had the pleasure of speaking with our DJ, Greyson, the day before our wedding and I could already tell that he was an awesome fit for our group. Greyson kept us on schedule, worked fabulously with our guests, took care of some last minute changes AND taught us a few moves on the dance floor. The best part? He didn't lose any steam when 2/3 of our guests left well before the end of the reception. He kept the party going up until the minute we closed things down. Can't recommend this company enough and can't wait to work with them again.
