We had some holes to dig in our backyard and the ground is very hard and rocky. I tried using a digging bar which worked but it was very slow going and extremely strenuous. We decided to explore options for an electric jackhammer. We reached out to the big box retailers which did not feel very accommodating or customer service oriented. They expected us to know what a small, medium or large jackhammer was. We also reached out to All Star Rents. They were very accommodating and explained the different options as well as how the rental process works. We rented a 60lb electric jackhammer for a 24 hour period and it was only a few dollars more than the big box retailers. The electric jackhammer enabled us to complete the digging work much faster and was far less strenuous. It was amazing to see the job done so quickly. The return process was also very easy. They even helped me unload it from our trailer. We would recommend All Star Rents! read more

This place is great! Jacob and Simon were super helpful and extremely kind to me. It's refreshing to come across good customer service nowadays so I'll be sure to suggest this business to all my friends. read more

Rented a 45kVA generator from these guys for a week long event in August. Generator was in great shape and ready to go right when I arrived. Staff hooked us up quickly and went out of their way to help debug a tail light issue, too. Overall the process was seamless and the staff and management were very friendly and helpful. Definitely intend to rent from them again. read more

These guys really rocked it today, had the cement mixerer ready to to at the time I asked for and it worked flawlessly on the job site. Took longer to get to the site and back than what I needed the equipment for, but to mix this much concrete by hand would have taken all day or more. Anyhow, I would recommend All Star to anyone, great service and good prices. read more

Had a reservation set up and after my brother in law drove from California to help we go in early in the morning and find the unit had been rented the day before and would not be back for 2 days. read more

Knowledgeable and Friendly. Really seem concerned with safety and the ability to get the job done right. Rental is a great way to get things done around the house without having to purchase, and these guys are the best. Thanks Paul! read more

Good local rental yard with fairly new equipment and reasonable pricing. Bring your hitch, chains, ratchet, straps and lighting adapters or you will get charged additionally $$. Rental clock should start after you leave the yard. Waited in the yard for over an hour while the trailer was moved into position, then the excavator needed the bucket changed but the pin would not come out as it was damaged from a previous rental. Yard agent wanted me to chain the unit down, another guy told them they were responsible. All this could have been happening while I was in the office and I got a late start on the work. ...otherwise equipment did the job it was rented for. read more

I have used this location several times over the years...always a good experience. I needed a last minute rental on a Saturday for a carpet stretcher..gave them call, they answered the phone, (most other places are closed on the weekend) easy reservation for a noon pick up. Easy transaction, great staff.... Returned first thing Monday morning...could not have been easier. highly recommend this rental company. read more

The crew at All Star Rents are "ALL STARS". When everyone else can not help you with your particular project needs, these guys go the extra mile to see that you get what you need. They ask if you know how to use their equipment and if not they show you. Great guys, i enjoy working with them read more

All Star is my go-to place for any equipment I need, but have no interest in purchasing. Paul knows his stuff and is able to still help you in a timely manner, while juggling an incoming phone call every three minutes. They also have a great selection of products you might need to use with the equipment, sandpaper, safety equipment. , etc. Also, renting good equipment is never cheap, but All Star is fair on pricing. The one time I had a problem, the cord failed on a floor sander, they gave me another unit and three days credit, to accommodate that I could only use it on the weekend. Thanks Paul and All Star, you guys are doing great! By the way, I use All Star for any equipment that we need at my workplace as well. It was my employer who first introduced me to All Star Rents. read more

I love this place! We needed a horse trailer for an emergency, who know these folks had one?! And not just any old horse trailer, a brand new 2 horse slant load. (almost impossible to find) Amazing customer service, Victor was kind and knowledgeable. Easy rental process and quick return of my deposit! I love these guys. Thanks guys! read more

Front desk or whoever answered the phone was rude. Making me already not wanting to do business with them

Great service and reasonable pricing. Seem to treat a one-time user homeowner as good as their best customer. Actually used them twice for a Bobcat delivered to the home and everything was very smooth and easy. read more

Positive experience. Will return back for any future equipment rental needs. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Easy in, easy out, careful yard guys, knowledgeable counter workers, affordable rates, and all-around pleasant experience = A+.

They were very, very busy when we came in and we hadn't reserved the item that we wanted to rent. Even so, they were courteous, professional and efficient, and we were able to get the item without any trouble. They showed us how to use it because it was an unusual item, and everything went very smoothly...plus they were the least expensive in town for the item, so good customer service and good prices means we'll come back the next time we need to rent anything. read more

The generator we got was new and worked very well. We rented a Honda 2000 generator for our RV for Burning Man, it was quiet and very efficient but was only strong enough for the fridge so if you want it for other appliances I would definitely go bigger. I got my security deposit back quickly and I would definitely rent from these guys again. read more

Unsatisfied with this company and their service. They insisted I get a rental protection plan for tire punctures and then delivered the equipment with a punctured tire I found after they unloaded it. I was quoted $520 for the rental and then my credit card was billed for $725. I called them on this and they did not have an explanation for the up-charge. No-refund was made for this overcharge. I feel this is dishonest. Furthermore, the delivery was late, and both the driver and manager (Paul) were not very nice. My advise is to use another company. read more

I was not pleased with the front desk representative- he was rude and issued snide comments. When asked to clarify why he was being inappropriate, the clerk became indignant. There are a multitude of rental entities in Reno/Sparks, I will take my hard-earned money elsewhere in the future. It's not prudent to limit your customer base in this economy through poor customer service. read more

I rented a log splitter for my husband from All Star Rents. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable, especially since I knew nothing about the log splitter. I would definitely go back with any rental needs. read more
