When I told them to please stop calling me, now they're emailing me. They're saying they have my resume - highly unlikely. They're saying they've spoke to me about careers before - never happened. Stop harassing people. Call once and leave a message, then move on. If you do that every day, people will resent your company.

I spoke to a woman named Lynn Carr who started going over my resume with me. While I was on the phone with her, she had placed me on hold about 10 times! Also she told me she had to call me back and did that 3 times! I find that incredibly rude to be placed on hold that many times. It's called being either on a call or meeting. That's what professional people do which she clearly isn't. After being grilled about my resume and having to repeat my answers multiple times, she said she had to speak to someone about my resume and they would get back to me. They called me again but this time it was a different woman who had the nerve to ask me, " How did I live if you didn't have alot of clients". As a result we contacted Maxim Staffing Solutions and were advised by verbal agreement that they would assist us in finding a new nurse practitioner and "work with us" by lowering the direct payment percentage fee. Upon receiving our invoice we noticed that the direct payment percentage fee was the original percentage of 12%. After contacting Maxim again, we were advised since we did not get this agreement in writing that we would have to pay the invoice as is. This is a shady business approach and is not proper conduct, our agreement with the manager (who we discussed the matter with both times) should have been honored.

His exact words to me were, "I'm sorry that you're unhappy, but I've spoken to them & they said you were rude. Well, I don't know what you want me to do." I understand that the employer is their client, but I find that most of them won't even give you a call back or reply to your emails if their client has moved onto another candidate. This was until I had the pleasure to work with Steven Mas at Parker + Lynch. Steve is one of the good ones, he is the only recruiter I've met who actually cares and genuinely works hard to help place you in a position that you want. He will always give me the details of the company and the position, and make sure I like everything presented before sending my resume out. Steve always replies to my emails/calls within a couple of hours. He even checks in on me every once in a while just to see how things are going. In the end I didn't end up getting placed with a company through Parker + Lynch, but when I told Steve I got a job offer, he was really happy for me. I would definitely recommend Parker + Lynch and ask for Steve Mas.

They just call people in, in order to meet their weekly interview quotas as well as to build up their pipeline of candidates, which clearly are a waste of your time if you are working and had to take time off to come in. I met with the Director for Long Island and she was obnoxious and trying to sell me on an internal recruiting role despite my making it clear that I was not interested. She also told me that my appearance was too professional and that I should wear business casual attire.I guess that my dress suit did not sit well with someone who came into the office in an inappropriately short dress with huge open toe wedge heels.

I had to wait by the desk for 10 minutes for the receptionist to acknowledge my presence. Afterwards, I met with a recruiter, Joy Silva. She was very off putting as she was loud and kept cutting me off mid sentence. Truth be told I do not even think that she actually had a job for me. During the course of our conversation it became apparent that she was interviewing me for future positions that would come in whereas on the phone she kept mentioning what a great opportunity she wanted me to come in for. After the interview, on my way out, Joy introduced me to an Ajilon new hire who was passing by. I was introduced to Kristen Eastman, Business Development Manager. I was appalled by her appearance. Her clothes were of poor quality as well as wrinkled and did not seem to fit her properly. She was also not groomed and made a very poor impression. One would think that someone with her bad looks would at least try to put in a little effort. Unsure how she ended up getting hired into a client facing role as in addition to her appearance her communication skills were very poor and she seemed mentally off. I do not want Ajilon to represent me and feel that it was a waste of my time meeting them.
