Look elsewhere for a job. This company is not very helpful. A lot of the jobs they advertise on…read moretheir site are low quality and/or minimum wage. I question if some of them are even real. Recruiters aren't very good at communicating with job seekers. They take long to pick up the phone and answer emails. Avoid this agency.

I wanted to write this review awhile back, but it completely slipped my mind…read more I like to do side work and decided to try Randstad. Bad mistake. I arrived early, and the office is located in a business complex. My GPS had me driving around in circles, so I tried to find the location on foot. Bad idea. After walking around for ten minutes, I called the office. The receptionist couldn't give me directions, even though I was on the property! She was rude and very annoyed that I was asking for help. Ridiculous. Somehow, I found it myself. I walked in to a convoluted environment. There were a bunch of desks and tables. The angry receptionist couldn't be bothered to speak with me. I was seated at a small table, and I completed a basic application. Very weird experience. Everyone in the office stopped by the table and looked at me, but nobody introduced themselves or said hello. Unprofessional atmosphere. It's just a bunch of kids yelling back and forth to each other and getting annoyed when the phone rang. I waited a few minutes, and a very young girl named Jordan took me into a conference room. I was interviewed by Jordan and a young Asian man. They were both very puerile and snobby. Standoffish. They genuinely made me feel uncomfortable. They also revised my resume! Their version was chock full of errors. No thank you. They gave a generic interview that took about twenty minutes. They were also not willing to accomodate the salary range that I requested prior to meeting. That's what I call a waste of time. About two weeks after my highly disappointing experience, I received an email from Jordan. She said the company never responded so I should look elsewhere. She demonstrated how nonproactive this staffing agency truly is. She should have recommended other opportunities, or told me she would in the future. Apparently, this "working" relationship is dead. Definitely a bad idea to get involved with these folks. It might just be this branch, but you would be better off flying solo, than trying to have a bunch of disrespectful kids pretending to do their jobs. I wish Yelp had a zero star option ...

I have come across a handful of recruiters in my job search throughout the years. I've always had…read morebad experiences with recruiters because they never seemed genuine after the first meeting. I understand that the employer is their client, but I find that most of them won't even give you a call back or reply to your emails if their client has moved onto another candidate. This was until I had the pleasure to work with Steven Mas at Parker + Lynch. Steve is one of the good ones, he is the only recruiter I've met who actually cares and genuinely works hard to help place you in a position that you want. He will always give me the details of the company and the position, and make sure I like everything presented before sending my resume out. Steve always replies to my emails/calls within a couple of hours. He even checks in on me every once in a while just to see how things are going. In the end I didn't end up getting placed with a company through Parker + Lynch, but when I told Steve I got a job offer, he was really happy for me. I would definitely recommend Parker + Lynch and ask for Steve Mas.

Recruiters call candidates in for "jobs" which they do not have. They just call people in, in order to meet their weekly interview quotas as well as to build up their pipeline of candidates, which clearly are a waste of your time if you are working and had to take time off to come in. I met with the Director for Long Island and she was obnoxious and trying to sell me on an internal recruiting role despite my making it clear that I was not interested. She also told me that my appearance was too professional and that I should wear business casual attire.I guess that my dress suit did not sit well with someone who came into the office in an inappropriately short dress with huge open toe wedge heels.
