If you're not renewing your lease the landlord will literally do back to back showings every day so strangers in your home showing up every day and they don't even show at the scheduled times so it's often inconvenient. Maintenance is a joke, it took them forever to do anything when we lost heat during negative degree winter days and all they did was drop off some space heaters. We asked them to come fix our fridge cause the freezer seal wouldn't stay shut and would often open by itself and defrost everything in our freezer, someone came to look at it but never came and that was literally a year ago. I hope the rest of my work orders will be completed as well as Jeremy did his.

They ask you to pay a fee but also require all parties to be present to sign the sublease and go through a credit check. Except in most cases, the sublessee is not on campus... then you are out of luck. They say pest control is included. It is not. I lived on the first floor and when fall/winter arrived, all the bugs migrated into my apartment. I have videos and photos of crickets and house centipedes in my apartment. I know they got into my walls and I would hear them all singing all night. It's not as pleasant as it sounds, unfortunately. I complained to the office many times, because I knew there must have been an opening from the outside wall where they were getting in. They didn't care. I probably saw a large cricket at least once a day. Once I found 10 dead carcasses in my closet. Not pleasant. They tried to gouge me out of my security deposit. Charged me $120 for a new bed bug cover because it was "snagged." More likely than not, it was snagged before I even got there. But of course I don't have photo proof of the bed bug cover. If you do live at a PPM property, make sure you have pictures of everything. They took money off for damage I already reported upon move-in, and carpet cleaning when I don't wear shoes in the house. These two were refunded because I complained and had video/photo proof. But they expect you to just eat the cost, so they can get away with it. The only positives is that the maintenance is generally very responsive (within 2 days). The apartment is quite average, but location is great for engineers.

So if you live in Catlin you know the previous (and only) mechanic in town, Martens had a VERY tough job filling the hole that was left. They have FAR exceeded it. I have given them my business every time my car needed repaired but I have to share two experiences of them going completely over the top! First, I picked up a nail in my tire and needed a patch, they accidentally over charged me five dollars (please bear in mind they were BRAND new to Catlin). I had know Idea and was just happy to have my tire fixed. But... When my husband needed an oil change, they remembered the mistake, gave him a 5 dollar credit and sent me a hand written note apologizing, who does that??! The second incident you ask? I dropped my car off on a day they were closed (as in not open and no expectation that I should receive service) so what happened? Well they know my car, and called me to ask what I needed to have done, and made arrangements to have my car repaired first thing Monday morning. Super honest, super awesome at car repair and customer over the top, again, the best of the best!!

So tried something new, since I believed my car had a radiator leak I took my car to marks radiator who referred me to R and C to first check it out. Rick spent over an hour and a half looking under my car while on the lift to find where the leak is coming from. He wiped it all out and tightened some hoses but could not really tell. Besides hose clamps being lose no other leaks at this time. He could have said yes it's the radiator kept it and charged me a lot of money said he replaced the radiator etc. Bit as honest as he was he didn't do that. He sent me home with it for me to check to see if there were any more leaks did if there was then it could be the radiator after all. Didn't even charge me to look at it all this time. Well unfortunately there was still leaking. Took it back to him and left it with him over night. He was able to take a better look at it take some things apart. The leak I had which I was led to believe from others that it was the radiator just happened to be the oil sending unit. So he replaced that and changed my oil for me. No more leaking and was so much cheaper than a radiator. Rick is one of the most honest ppl I have ever met in the car repair business I would suggest him to anyone and totally trust him. I like the way he talks to you just s 354-68-8845-Ao down to earth and allows you right there with him in his shop while he looks at your car. He is not out to take your money he is just here to make an honest living. I was very impressed and have found a great mechanic finally, which I have never found before. Rick is awesome, have any car problems go check him out for your self.

Which is insane! So after making a few calls I called her back and told her I can't afford that and would get my car off of there lot by the next day. They were not happy!! Then when I took it some place else to have it looked at,came to find out my starter was just fine! And my battery that I had installed 2 years ago is not the same battery I had put in 2 years prior! Recently I had one of the best customer service experiences ever in my life. I had been searching…read morefor a car part (tail light) for my 1997 Nissan 200SX SE-R. I searched most of the places you would normally think of - the dealer, local parts stores, even junk yards. Either I found items that were exorbitantly over priced (a junk yard tried to sell me an entire trunk lid at $250 for a $15 plastic light cover) or found nothing at all. So i decided to try eBay for my part. That's where I came across Bill Smith Auto Parts out of Danville, Illinois that was listing an item that sounded similar to what I wanted. Luckily enough they list a phone number on their eBay auction so that you know you are ordering the right part, and can confirm with a real person. (Try finding that very often) So I gave a ring to the store to find out more about my part. The representative I spoke with was polite, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the products the company was selling. In fact, when she found out that a car had just been crushed with the part I was looking for (only one in stock) she made an extra effort to find the part through a parts database. Then she gave me the number of a place that was able to find what I needed. That's right folks, she sent me to a possible competitor in service of the customer!! You have to understand that where I'm from, Northern VA / Washington DC Metro area, everyone is out to make a buck and helpful service is of a bygone era. So it was quite refreshing to have someone take the time to find out what was most helpful for me, the customer. This representative should be given a pat on the back for a job well done... And even though I didn't purchase the light from her company as originally intended, I now know of a store who hires people of integrity and knowledge. These are the things that will make me a customer at Bill Smith Auto Parts any used car parts in the future. So please, if you have a auto parts need.... don't hesitate to call on Bill Smith Auto Parts, Danville IL. I'm sure their customer service will leave you as speechless as it did me.

Gary called around and found me a tire, when I arrived he popped off my wheel and we went to pick it up. It was to cost 200, too much. Gary, understanding I was not prepared to this amount of money quickly offered a solution. A tiny little tire repair and salvage shop where we secured a used tire costing only 30. After taking up TWO HOURS of his time, I was charged absolutely ZERO for their services. They even have to PAY for the AAA certification process, thus losing money. I even attempted to tip him for his kindness and time spent but HE REFUSED MY MONEY! This garage is local, respectful and honest. Gary explained how they often help motorists like me, coming off the interstate, because other locations will often take advantage of our desperation. Anyways, good people and good service. I will be driving up to Danville from Champaign if I ever require their services again.
