Unfortunately, my experience with dental care by Dr. Rogers at Munster Distinctive Dentistry was…read morevery disappointing. I went in to fix a small chipped filling and had no pain or sensitivity at that time. After the filling was replaced, I started having pain when chewing. I returned for bite adjustments, but the pain continued. I was then advised to get an onlay. Looking back, I wish I had gotten a second opinion at that point, but I trusted the recommendation and proceeded. After the onlay, my symptoms became significantly worse, including cold sensitivity, severe pain when chewing, and jaw pain that lasted for over a month. I ultimately sought a second opinion and was told I now need a root canal, and that the work was very close to the nerve and became inflamed. When I contacted the clinic to discuss my experience, I was told the issue may be related to pulp stones. This was frustrating to hear only after going through multiple treatments on the same tooth within a few months. This possibility was not raised earlier, despite several visits and X-rays, and the tooth had no prior nerve issues. I was also very disappointed with the billing. I was initially quoted around $475 after insurance for the onlay, but my total out-of-pocket ended up being $1,050. I was told this was due to insurance paying less than expected, even though the clinic is in-network with my insurance. A difference of this size is not what I would expect from an in-network estimate. Overall, this was a very frustrating experience. I do not recommend coming here for dental care and would not trust their estimates.

At the end of my treatment I wasn't 100% happy with my correction. At the removal one tooth was…read morestill twisted, and I didn't have the perfect arch. I asked about it and they just said it was the anatomy of my tooth/teeth, they said they look much better then before. Which they looked better but not perfect. I was young so I believed what the doctor said. They took the braces off and I went on with my life, a few years later I started getting TMJ and decided to go to a different orthodontist for a consult. The new doctor said that the twisted teeth were not due to anatomy and could definitely be corrected as well as my arch "his words were, there was no reason they couldn't have corrected it." I got lied to, and they should have kept treating me untill my teeth were perfect. The receptionist was always nice. What I didn't like that the doctors hardly looked at you and had the aids do most of the work. Stinks that I had to waste my money there and needed to fix my teeth the right way.
