Mind you this process for braces is not cheap, but I will do whatever I have to do a single mother to make sure my daughter gets the best care possible, which is why I brought her here. Our first experience is starting off horrible and the level of unprofessionalism that we received today as brand new patients is not at all what I expected after our consultation with them. Our appt was set for 8:30 this morning and we arrived 10-15 minutes early. Immediately checked in on the computer pad and verbally with the receptionist. Went and sat down. 20 minutes later after all these kids that came in after us went in before us, that's when they decided to tell us we weren't checked in and tried to blame me for it inside of being accountable themselves. 30 minutes later, I ask how many more kids will get to go back before her that arrived way after us? Then they decide to go "check" because "she was already "seated"" and then she immediately was called back. Then the 3 receptionists (2 older ladies with white/gray bob/ shoulder length hair) and Crystal proceeded to "hide" themselves and talked about me like I was in the wrong for asking questions and advocating for my daughter. I was also told that we didn't have to set up auto draft for payments as long as we made the monthly payments, but that is not true according to Crystal. Then we get taken back and the tone was set by the receptionists and Crystal for the back end of the business where my daughter is getting treatment. This whole first experience is not at all what I was expecting and not how I feel we should be treated as brand new patients that did everything we were supposed to do and showed up early. Everyones time is valuable and everyones time is money. Please be more mindful of your professionalism and how yall set the tone for your patients and their experience and please do better on how you treat people and make people feel. This whole thing has made me as a parent feel completely uncomfortable. Now we are locked in and cant go anywhere else to have a better experience. I feel like they promised an experience that we are not receiving. It does not feel good. Not a great way to start or build relationships with patients, and the tone it set for this relationship for the next 2-3 years of her treatment plan.

The office has grown tremendously since I became his patient, but his caring and gentle manner in performing even the most daunting procedure has not changed. The only problem I have is falling asleep as soon as I recline in the chair! During one particularly long procedure, his assistant had to awaken me two or three times! They do offer gas for anxious patients, but most of all, they offered kindness and patience. Once the area was numb, the drilling, filling, and filing took less than 10 minutes. Headphones may be worn to help with the drilling noise and there were no sharp edges or uncomfortable protrusions on the final filling.

I was hoping it would last longer but Doc did tell me a few years back that I was a teeth grinder which if left alone it would eventually start damaging existing teeth and maybe chipping others but I never did anything about it. So about 5 months ago I finally gave in and had him fit me for a night guard to help me with my snoring and teeth grinding and I'm only sorry I didn't get it done much sooner as I believe it would have saved some of my cracked teeth and the one that was chipped.I definitely sleep better at night with the guard (Silent Nite) and have found it to be a good investment. I also water pick my teeth now twice a day and keep up with my 6 mos visits.
