The owner of this business is the most inhuman person I've ever met. He even made my beautiful…read moreservice dog Ella vomit twice. His security system is intrusive and forces you to exit the building every half hour and reenter your security code. There is a serious rodent infestation which caused damage to my belongings in only one short month of occupancy. Mr Keener terminated our rental agreement without cause and tried to force me out in less than 24 hours. I called the police because it was not possible for me being disabled with back injury to relocate that quickly. He was very aggressive and belligerent and caused much distress to my 14 year old service dog Ella and me. With a police officers help arbitrating, Mr Keener agreed to give me a full refund of the months rent that I had just paid as well as an extra day to move. I moved out as expected but Mr Keener is refusing to give me my refund. Just coming here to our scheduled meeting which he did not show up for has made Ella vomit twice and is causing me so much anxiety. I am disabled and have a fixed income. I cannot afford to have my short amount of funds stolen by despicable thieves like him. The police officer was asked by me to attend the meeting to get the refund ,which Mr Keener was a no show, told me I would have to file action in claims court which I will do today. Its unfortunate that there are people like him that will take advantage to steal from a disabled women and intimidated us by raising his voice, making threats and posturing. If you care about how people are treated especially the elderly and disabled please avoid doing business at KEENER SELF STORAGE... Or any other enterprise he my own.

Liberty Bell saved the day! My mom was moving in and I totally underestimated the amount of stuff…read moreshe had. We got through a quarter of our stuff before we realized there was NO way we'd make it up the three flights of stairs with all of the other stuff and furniture. We called Liberty Bell in a panic and completely exhausted and they responded in ten minutes!! And before we knew it, they came in about an hour. Cost $350 to move everything in with three guys. They finished the job in maybe an hour and a half?? WOW! They completely saved us and moved everything in, nothing broke and everything was in great shape. This is the best moving experience we've ever had and probably will ever have. Trust them with your move! Thank you Liberty Bell!! We honestly can't thank you enough.

I'm going to stick to the time that I used them as a moving company and leave everything else at…read morethe door - but it's worth looking into if you want to know where your money is going... I hired them in a pinch to do a move from Biddeford to South Portland a couple years ago. Quoted move was for 3 hours and 3 guys for whatever the price was - sounds good to me. They were also the only moving company with any openings - in hindsight, another sign. Everyone else was booked for months. Well - they show up and what a team it was. 3 guys that all acted like they were 13-year-olds. While they were loading the truck, they broke a few pieces of furniture, including a wardrobe and a stand up mirror due to their negligence and goofing around. They didn't apologize or offer a solution to anything, even though it was very, very clearly their fault. One kid was also nowhere to be found for 80% of the move. Early on, I realized that if I didn't help them, the 3 hour move would take closer to 10 at the pace they were going, and with a jacked up price along with it.... so I was helping them do their work to speed it up. It was honestly a joke, but what are you going to do when you need to get something like a move done? You make sure it gets done. While we were unloading, the one kid that was never working jumped out from under moving blankets in the back of the truck at me, thinking I was one of his coworkers. The team lead didn't get this kid to start working at any point during the job either. He (the kid) had strong "my dad is the coach" energy if that makes sense. I want to say we started in the morning, like 8 or 9 AM and ended after the sun went down. Team leader came up to me for payment and gave me the bill, which was only for the amount of the original 3 hour long quote. He said "It's the wardrobe, mirror and coffee table discount" and laughed about it, to my face. I didn't find it funny. I also didn't tip them and will never hire them again. --- Although a new addition and something that I wasn't expecting, but totally tracks with what I experienced... This pop up came up when I loaded their Yelp page: "This business may have tried to abuse the legal system in an effort to stifle free speech, for example through legal threats or contractual gag clauses. As a reminder, reviewers who share their experiences have a First Amendment right to express their opinions on Yelp. More information about the action that led to this Consumer Alert is available here." https://www.themainewire.com/2023/01/maine-moving-company-that-threatened-people-who-left-negative-online-reviews-owes-state-125000/ I'm not sure if it was the company or Kevin specifically that had to pay the state $125,000 for that one. My experience was enough, but considering the rest of it...? Do yourself a favor and go with another company that isn't soaked in drama.
