I called for service, and JAKE S. came the VERY NEXT DAY!!! I had been added to his schedule, so it was later in the evening. Again, Jake was very pleasant, and thorough. He checked every problem I pointed out, and, lickety-split, FIXED EVERYTHING, including my high stairway pendant light and my thermostat!!! Since mishaps come in threes, my heater then began acting weird! It was tying hard to start, and if it did, would only run a minute or less. At one point, it was 59* in my house! I did not hesitate to call Hobson. (BTW, their phone is answered by a PERSON!!!! And every person to answer their phone is DELIGHTFUL AND HELPFUL!) He told me what was wrong and that he could fix my electrical outlets in 45 minutes. However, he quoted me a price of $1600. Outrageous. And that was only if I signed up for an extended service contract. I said I didn't want any contract and then he said the price would be higher. I felt like he was more of a used car salesman than an electrician. I said no to him and his price and then got in contact with another electrician who was very professional and kind and he fixed all my outlets and even my front porch light for $200. There is something very "shady" about Hobson. I wish I had read their other Yelp reviews before their guy showed up.

They came out the same day, gave me estimates for both repairing and replacing the system, and helped me weigh my options. Since my unit was 18 years old and had needed more service recently, I decided to replace it. Their team came out the next day and, even though I wasn't home, replaced the entire unit with an Amana variable-speed inverter AC unit and compatible heater in one long day. Dylon returned the following week for a quality-control check, and the system has been very quiet while keeping the humidity in the low 50s. Rose had a technician, Rafael, scheduled to come out the SAME DAY. That is truly unheard of in my experience. We were kept updated on arrival time through a tracking link which is way better than being given a large window of time without visibility into an approximate arrival. Rafael was quick to diagnose our issue and walked through our options (needed to replace the unit which was at end of life), informed us of finance options if approved and even put in a temporary fix so our boy could sleep comfortably in his own room that evening. Rose had 2 wonderful technicians come out to install the new unit the wet next day!!! I'm blanking their names but they were efficient and awesome. We had some issues installing the new thermostat, but again, they put in a temp fix and the new unit was up and running in no time. Another gentleman came out about a week later to install the new thermostat. I'm also blanking his name (sorry :/),but he took the time to walk me through why there was trouble installing it in the first place as well as how to operate the new thermostat, applied some default settings based on his recommendations and made sure my app on my phone was working. Fast forward to today, 9/8, we had an issue over the Labor Day weekend with water leaking through a ceiling fixture (older home, older plumbing, happened before). We contacted Strickland on Sunday and they had another wonderful technician, Duncan, to our home this AM. Duncan took the time to explain to us what was going on with the units and assess as well as diagnose it's a plumbing issue related to the unit(s). He provided us with a reference and we have them coming out at 8 am tomorrow (looks like I'll be doing a review in the near future for them as well ;)). Lastly, huge shoutout to Jeremy. Jeremy is the owner, and I can't say enough great things about him and his team. He took the time to call us and make sure everything was going well. I don't know a lot of owners who care to take the time to do that or take our call on a holiday weekend.
