Harry and Jaime came over the same day we reached out to them. Harry talked us through all the details of the materials and workmanship that goes into a great long-lasting roof and gave us a primer on how to compare roofing bids. Jaime inspected our old roof and explained his observations on the current condition, no major leaks but slow seeping typical of a roof at the very end of its useful life. They turned around a detailed quote very quickly and encouraged us to take our time to shop around and get in touch when we were ready. We got bids from about 6 different companies and these guys had the best value. We appreciated that they didn't require any down payment in advance, they warranty their work for 10+ years, and they had the best price for the quality of materials we were looking for. They completed our roof in 1 day! It was fun to watch their perfectly coordinated teamwork and attention to detail. Everywhere around the house was amazingly clean and tidy by the time they packed up and headed home. We paid by check about a week later and Harry dropped off our warranty paperwork. The roof has been great and we're looking forward to many decades with it. Thanks for the great communication and great craftsmanship!!

Despite my initial enthusiasm for the service, I encountered several issues that diminished my…read moresatisfaction. Like many other Handy-person companies have begun doing in the last five years or so, they impose a minimum time limit to ensure a minimum service fee. I required several basic repairs around my residence, which necessitated the use of a ladder, screws, and a screw anchor. One repair was time-sensitive, and the company initially offered immediate repairs but suggested returning a few weeks later due to them being booked up. This approach was reasonable and appreciated. However, after further communication with the company, I discovered for the time sensitive repair, they required a $250 deposit prior to any work starting, and would charge their minimum two-hour fee of $300. The job involved simply reattaching one side of an outdoor sun shade, resulting in an estimated total of $820.85 for all of the repairs. As a homeowner I've had several estimates and repairs completed by Handy-person services over the last few decades, but this one has to be the most unreasonable. In contrast, I contacted another Handy-person service company today that arrived at my residence within 30 minutes of my initial contact. They provided an on-site estimate and completed all the necessary repairs in a single hour. The total cost was $110.50, which included tax. This experience met my expectations. The service was reasonably priced, and the handyman was professional and skilled. I now have established a go-to handyman who I can build a lengthy business relationship, year after year. It is unacceptable to ask customers to pay for labor before the work is completed. Materials may be charged, but labor should not be. So glad I found this new Handyman service company. I will definitely be leaving a positive review for them.
