Mind Blown by the courtesy, cleanliness, and THE STAFF! Where to begin! Curtis! When my nieces babyshower had an unexpected venue hiccup, Curtis offered up the meeting room, walked us through how we could book friends and family in the hotel and save $, too! His friendly attitude and kindness saved the day. All of THAT before I'd ever set foot on the grounds. Curtis and the staff made what could have been a disaster, a true triumph!! The suites were huge, the beds sooooo comfy, and where to begin about the breakfast! BEST hotel breakfast ever!!! Corned Beef Hash, grits, sausage and gravy, eggs and all the other usuals too. Waffle Machine, all the breakfast breads, soda machine, and MORE!! Jeane' was absolutely amazing! On her game!! Before anything ran out, she was right there with the fresh replacement!! With a smile, too!! Her whole team was polite, kind and pleasant!! I wish I could stay at this property every weekend!! Truly. I cannot rave enough. Fan! For! Life!! Thank you for everything!!

I need one of those beds but I'm sure they're above my price point. I slept better there than I do at home.

The Courtyard in Jacksonville was conveniently located and had higher reviews than my alternatives,…read morebut the stay was a bit of a mixed bag. On the positive side, the hotel has great amenities: a large fitness room with a variety of equipment, a nice pool area for warmer weather, EV chargers, and guest laundry. The Wi-Fi and cable were fine, and the service at the Bistro for breakfast was very friendly and helpful. However, my room was disappointing for a renovated hotel. There was paint on the door handle, a missing section in a wall corner, and surprising mold in the bathroom. I was also unsure whether the towels above the toilet were fresh or had been left by a previous guest. Who puts towels above a toilet anyway? Most frustratingly, the curtain track was broken and wouldn't close completely, letting the light in all night, so I didn't sleep well. Even the refrigerator was an issue, as it froze the salad I brought back for breakfast. Once it sat out, it was okay, though, and maybe it actually kept it fresher, but it was still unexpected. While the amenities and Bistro staff were great, the lack of attention to detail in the room's maintenance and housekeeping was a letdown.

I've stayed in several hotels in…read moreJacksonville, some for as little as $55/night, and got a nice room (albeit in an extended stay hotel). So when this place was listed at $75/night I thought that by comparison to the others where I've stayed, this MUST be nice, right? WRONG. The overall feel is that the place is old and the owner doesn't want to invest in upgrading it. The young man who checked me in at the desk was awesome, very friendly and helpful. But once I reached my floor, it was all downhill. The entire floor smelled strongly of bleach, as if they'd just cleaned up a large spill of some kind, and there are bleach stains all over the carpet. The carpet is old and ratty, almost threadbare in some places. And the shower.....well, just take a look at my picture for more info on that. I didn't take a shower here, I just washed off at the sink and went on to my next destination. The bed was comfortable, so that and the friendly staff are the only reason they didn't just get one star. But they seriously need to do something about that smell, the nasty shower heads, and reduce their price to compete with others in the area.

Pretty typical. Older hotel they try to keep up with keeping it up to date. Room was clean, beds…read moreok, but it smelled a little musty..probably from the AC unit. Nothing special, but it was a decent night's sleep.

Our daughter in law had already booked a room here weeks ago and we wanted to be near her so we booked here to be close. Normally we stay at a bit higher starred hotel but she couldn't get her money back if she moved (not that they don't offer refund but she didn't opt for the cancellation guarantee). This is an older motel but they are doing some renovations. We checked in 7pm and found the room had a few renovation issues, so we went down to the front desk. Found out they were booked and had no other rooms, so the receptionist called the manager who IMMEDIATELY (Krista and Sheena receptionists) rectified the issues and got us moved to another room. The next room we got was a suite, much bigger, but still in need of renovation. I don't normally do reviews on places during renovations but I wanted to mention the staff. We did have issues with all of our rooms, but the staff is soattentive, professional, and work hard to resolve any issues, so it is very difficult for me to give a bad review on the accommodations. The staff is aware of ongoing renovation issues and the manager is extremely fast about resolving these issues. There are alot of construction workers who use this hotel as a work hub, probably due to the prices and location, and of course the local marines who stay here, probably to get off base for the night. There is a laundry on location. There is a continental breakfast every morning from 6 - 10, which is better than some motels. Fresh coffee all day in the lobby. I give the rooms 2 stars, free breakfast 4 stars, staff 5 stars, manager 5 stars, location 4 stars.
