CIRCUS. Too bad there is not 0 stars. If looking to move RUN from this company ASAP!
Still missing multiple items from my move which was a direct transport from Arlington, VA to Madison, AL. Literally a same day move with ZERO stops.
Kitchen Aide mixer gone, all pots and pans, all dishes, all kitchen items, vitamix, missing. Busted flat screen. BRAND NEW baby crib with splinters sticking out. If it's not missing, its broken. That's a good way to sum it up.
Showed up 12 hours late after multiple confirmations, and even weekly updates confirming the 7am start time from me. Random people hired from Craigslist. Showed up (after moving me 4x previously and knowing I had the same furniture he has moved before) showed up with ZERO TOOLS. After driving 17 hours to move me, showed up with NO TOOLS to undo the beds. What in the world? VERY strong smell of marijuana. Ran out of all materials multiple times. Got started at 7pm and finished packing (which we paid for white glove service since I am 8months pregnant) finished packing at 4:30AM. 4:30AM and I was lifting boxes and moving things after paying extra not to do this, all while high risk pregnancy.
After paying 1/2 of the down payment, we were told the movers literally could not pay for their own gas to get to Alabama without us fronting them even more cash. What are you going to do when your things are in their truck? They said they had no credit card that would work, so i handed over another $300 on the spot out of trust. When the truck got here, after confirming delivery time of 3-4pm, they arrived around 8pm. My 78 year old grandparents drove in to assist. The truck went up the hill, and rolled backwards down the hill we live on because they ran out of gas and could not get to the house...it was like something out of a comedy show.
My elderly grandfather had to call AAA and got gas delivered to their truck. While he was getting back in his car, the truck sped off down the road and did not come to my house for another 45 minutes (when the nearest gas station is 2 minutes away). This is when I suspect my things were stolen. Or maybe the boxes were set out on the side of the road out of spite? Not sure... but there's no way you just lose 7-8 large boxes on a direct transport.
Upon a gentlemen's agreement between my husband and Al, he agreed to assist us with replacing our missing things + our flat screen tv that had cracks on the side because they ran out of blankets. Forgot to mention that part, they literally ran out of blankets. After Al refused to return our calls, etc.. I suggested that I would use my family attorney to get my money back. Then suddenly he is responsive! Since we got a response and were yet again, NICE people, we have not heard back.
At this point, it's clear Al does not pride himself in his business, his professionalism, or his company. I am 8 months pregnant and just want my things back, or want to be compensated for what was lost. If not, I am happy to take the legal route which I was assured was not deemed necessary by Al while unloading my things, as he said he would help us take care of it. I understand things are broken in moves, and maybe a box or two is lost, MAYBE. But I do not understand this madness... AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. read more
