We did an initial video estimate and then the week of the move Ty came personally to see where things were at to ensure he had what was needed to be ready for moving day. They showed up on time. Their system was well executed, and they had us loaded very quickly. Igor, Manny, Daniel and Christian were very friendly, and professional, and took extra care with our fragile items. Ty was there for the loading as well, to ensure we had everything we needed. At the new place the unload went just as seamlessly and when the truck was empty they even took the time to ask if there was anything we wanted help putting together, and if we wanted them to move anything into a particular spot while they were still there. We did ask them to move a couple of the heavier items which they did happily. Payment was easy; the estimate was exact to the invoice. E-transfer payment was quick and simple. They are definitely competitive price wise, if not a bit better value than some of the larger companies and way better service. All around great team, great people, and i would definitely recommend them.

The second time was a nightmare, with them showing up with a 3.5 ton truck instead of a 5 ton truck, as was clearly communicated beforehand. Since we had to make a ferry reservation, it made everything morse stressful than necessary, with us having to deal with literally last minute solutions for left over stuff, turning over the old place to our landlady, loading remaining items in our own car, and helping the movers on top of it as some furniture had to be dissembled to fit in the truck. Although Ty brought anything they could not bring the first time, a couple of days later, there were too many damaged items due to the puzzle of trying to get everything into the small truck. Most damages were just labelled as 'can be easily replaced by going to the dollar store, or having a table top refinished locally, etc.' But Ty never followed up on it, instead mentioned that we had not bought the proper insurance (which was never offered in the first place). He gave us $500 off, but that does not make good for all the trouble we had. and all the damages, with some of them discovered after the move. The damages were: a broken high quality fan, a completely scratched dining table top, damaged artwork, two damaged standing lamps, one damaged storage unit, a broken antique pendant light, and almost all furniture with some new scratches, dents, and other minor damages, including damages from the tape that was not properly used. Having said this, the movers were friendly, and Ty is a nice person; but this was not handled as expected and with the care needed, also with never following up on him promising us the needed repairs. Even if only some small plastic parts (e.g., a wheel part, a fastening ring) are broken, it does not mean they can be easily replaced at the dollar store. If we had to repair and replace everything, it would easily exceed the $500 offered. I have moved over 20 times in my whole life, but this was by far the worst experience ever. I can only hope that they will handle your next move better.

Lightning-fast replies, proactive confirmations (yes, they texted me a few days before!), and an overall sense that someone competent had my back every step of the way. They wrapped the whole move in exactly 3 hours, just as quoted, even though I padded an extra hour thinking "no way they'll nail it." And the cherry on top? They arrived on time but only brought two dollies with them. It would have taken at least 30 trips down 17 floors to remove everything. I told them to come back the next day with proper tools to do the job. The next day they brought a bin with them but it was too large for the elevator. Back to the shop in Coquitlam for a smaller bin. Even with all of the inconvenience to me, they still charged full price of over $600. The guys were polite and all, but this company has to provide them with the tools to do the job efficiently.

They did not want to offer any quote prior to coming over for the appointment because they said, they have to see exactly the quantity of the items. Unfortunately, my family agreed. When they got there (I was there), they quoted that a full load on a 15footer truck is Can$597.00 and for the garbage, it is only a third of the full price. We immediately thought it was very steep since it only cost us Can$450 on the regular mover who did an excellent job. Since we were running out of time, we agreed to it. They said that the furnitures have to be done first so they can donate them to Goodwill. After being gone for about one hour, they came back with the same load saying they cannot donate to goodwill. BTW, the furnitures were in excellent condition and I have pictures to prove it. Now, because they came back, they want the same furniture load counted as a separate load making the total cost for disposal of both the furnitures and some other junk to Can$1,393.00. Ridiculous, right? We were getting ready to just have them unload the furnitures from their truck and do them ourselves. Finally, they agreed to Can$820.00. Firstly, I emailed a number of services, and they had a very fair price. Secondly, they were very quick to respond to my emails and my call. On the day needed, I received a call from the business about 15 minutes before the time they were to arrive, which really put me at ease and allowed us to get things organized. The workers introduced themselves, and were very courteous and very quick. The whole process took less than 10 minutes, and ended with a thank-you and a handshake! I cannot comment on the recycling end of this transaction, but I assume it will be done properly. As a resident of the west end I really am tired of seeing couches, t.v.s, mattresses etc, etc, etc in the alley at the end of every month, and so I was happy to see that my old couch is dealt with properly. I would not hesitate to use this service again, and will recommend it to friends whenever possible.
