I was appalled by the level of discrimination and false accusations about my child's attendance. There was a lack of understanding and compassion for the multiple hardships we have faced this month. We were treated poorly for the things we could not control. My daughter was exposed to COVID, and our car broke down. We explained our hardships to Theralympic Speech. Despite having explained that she was unwell and transportation was an issue, they refused to work with us a little longer to get back on track. We tried to speak to the director about our concerns about the policy and the troublesome speech therapist Katelyn; however, she failed to follow up and disregarded our concerns. The clinic first offered zoom meetings, but they lied about my daughter's attendance causing her not being able to attend speech sessions anymore. We did attend the sessions, they falsified her attendance on certain dates. When the therapist did sign in she was over ten minutes late at times. The therapist also kept trying to misdiagnose my daughter for something other than speech help even after we explained she has been evaluated. I highly discourage parents from bringing their children to this Speech facility. Unless you want to be discriminated against and mistreated, I would stay away from this place. No child should feel unwanted and be denied services due to hardships. No parent should feel like a failure after trying their best. Good luck parents.

During a conversation Stephanie had voluntarily disclosed that with a particular insurance type a patient wouldn't be seen, and that her office was the only provider willing to accept and good luck on finding help elsewhere. What healthcare professional speaks like this so someone? This derogatory language is super judge mental and telling of her opinion of patients with minority backgrounds. To put down patient by bringing up insurance and the quality of it, when someone is just inquiring about options, is insane! I do not recommend using their services if you truly want non-discriminatory treatment, especially on Long Island. No matter sex, age, race, income, insurance, patients making even INQUIRIES for care should be treated with respect, professionalism and understanding. I am leaving a review because sometimes people just write off experiences like this and move on, but it's not fair if other potential healthcare seekers go through similar things that can be avoided by just looking over a previous person's experience.

I had an appointment with Dana once and she was also very good. Lillian was extremely helpful, detailed and personable. She took the time to listen, do a thorough exam and took into account health issues other than the injury that we were working through, which is extremely important. It was very apparent she cares for her patients and has a wealth of and knowledge in her field. I am grateful to her. The front end office staff was very kind, friendly and accommodating- big thanks to Denise and Kim. I would highly recommend Progressive Physical Therapy if you want a professional office that doesn't crowd people in, is very considerate and takes great care of you.

I've had two 12 week, 2 times a week session about 4 years apart. Both times were excellent as far…read moreas care, treatment plans and programs to get me on track. I've had multiple spinal fusions over the years related from two separate car accidents. Each time treated a different part of my lower back. In 2022, I had a male therapist who worked with me closely and adjusted my exercises and weights as i progressed. Towards the end of my program, this was just post COVID where we still wore masks, I had difficulty breathing on two days back to back. The second day, they insisted that I go straight to the hospital and after spending 3 days in Winthrop, I had a stent for an 85% blockage in the widowmaker. They saved my life. Unfortunately, years later, after I was struck from behind while stopped at a traffic light, I had to have an additional lumbar spinal fusion as well as a laminectomy. Most recently, I had the pleasure of working with Christian in East Meadow stars. We started a month after surgery and I went for 3 months. He started working with me with stretches and light weights while progressing each visit. By the time my 12 weeks were up, I was much stronger, had better stability and the knowledge to continue at home. Stars was by far, the most involved PT facility with updated equipment, a clean facility and great hands on care. I hope I won't ever need physical therapy in the future but out of the 8 to 10 facilities I've gone too over a 14 year period, stars was by far the best. They will remain my number one choice and I highly recommend them at least for all spinal rehabilitation needs. Thank you Christian Pineda as well as the rest of the therapists there.
