We brought a watch here in need of repair. We had a couple of things that needed to be done to the watch. We received a call after a week saying that our watch was fixed. We drove there to pick it up only to be told that the watch had stopped working. We were told that more time was needed and we would receive a call when repairs were completed. From this point on there was never a call from the shop. We had to call them and were repeatedly told that our watch had been misplaced. This went on for over a month and finally the last time we called they said the watch had been found. I honestly don't know if everything I asked for was completed. The receipt only says watch repair, no itemized list of what was done. Communication throughout was unprofessional and lacking clarity as to what exactly was going on. Will never return or recommend anyone to this shop. We dealt with Paul. read more

I had a a clock that was extremely sentimental to me, although not very expensive, that stopped working. After trying to look online for a replacement to no avail, I stopped in to see what my options were. I'm glad I did. They were able to replace the mechanism and retain my much loved clock face and hands. They were very clear up front of the cost and the repaired clock was ready when promised. On Thursday 6/25/2020 my watch battery died right after businesses that would replace same closed. This was a bit distressing since I really didn't know any reputable places off hand since William Glatz (who owned my go-to watch place of many years) was murdered and the family naturally closed the business. So I did some quick research here, on Google & on Facebook & this place had mostly favorable ratings and was fairly conveniently located. Since we had been under stay at home orders due to the COVID-19 pandemic I figured I'd better call before heading up to the shop even though their Facebook page indicated they reopened - which they were open. I took it up there and Paul, one of the owners - quite pleasant to deal with by the way - quickly did the battery replacement. The whole thing cost me all of $6.00 - which was about 1/2 of what I paid a couple years ago to have a battery replaced in a shop near where I had been working when the pandemic broke out (I work in center city in the Rittenhouse Square fringe area). The shop is conveniently located on Oxford Avenue, right down the avenue from the Loney bus loop for the Route 18 bus; the Route 24 also runs down Oxford Avenue. It is across Oxford Avenue from the Rite Aid and Joseph's Pizza. If you have any time related issues, check these folks out - you won't be sorry. read more

My watch battery died and I called this place. I asked if they could replace my battery and if so what the cost would be. I got a mumbling of "it depends." When I brought in my watch I was told that it wasn't the battery but that there was issue with "mechanism." I then told him that I would just take back the watch and use my Skagen warranty to get it fixed through the manufacturer. He then said that it doesn't take apply because my watch wasn't new. He said he'd only charge me $20 to fix it. I didn't believe him but since I had already driven all the way there I proceeded. My watch was "fixed" in 15mins. The crazy part was afterwards he tried to hit on me- even though he looked my dad's age. Gross. I don't think I would ever return here. read more
