When I arrived (after detox) I was nervous and very guarded, my stomach was in knots. I was welcomed in with open arms and that feeling of unease ended extremely quickly, I almost immediately felt like I belong, like family...which is something I never really had. My stay at beachcomber had such a profound effect on me as a person, that my life right now at only 61 days...has already become a far better life than I had thought possible. When I initially began this process (and even halfway through lol) I was extremely bullheaded, skeptical and so untrusting that I doubted everything they said however, not one single time did I feel judged in any way! The therapist and staff were really patient with me and understanding, they gave me time to figure it out myself and I and so thankful they did. What I didn't realize was that I was fighting myself, not them lol It wasn't until I stopped fighting and convinced myself that maybe they are right, maybe I can't do this on my own, that my entire experience turned around. I will never forget my first experience with Saundra, I remember walking away upset lol! Saundra will establish dominance and so she should! Saundra became my therapist for a short time during Thanksgiving. I was nervous and didn't know what to expect with her but within moments, I felt better. My sessions with her were the most uplifting and empowering sessions I've ever had. She feels like a caring mom, she won't let you dwell and you can tell that she really does care. Saundra gave my the approval and motivation that I needed to come home and turn my life around. Most people who struggle with addiction need that level of humbling, structure, that mother-like love and discipline. I now understand why she is the way she is and I am so thankful! Most addicts like myself are used to people enabling us and getting mad when they don't. We tend to be prideful, as if we know it all lol they will bump heads with your pride...they need to do that. They're fighting the thing that is trying to kill you so needless to say you will not find an enabler at this place!!! What you'll find is the care of a former addict, the therapist here have all been in recovery for a long time. This gives them the ability to actually understand and know what it's like from experience not textbook. Personally, I say...you can't help anyone through something unless you've walked in your shoes and they have all been there and done that!! Rapid trama therapy with Val was life changing, she makes you feel completely at ease and by the time the season was complete, I felt a new type of energy a "can do" energy. This place is run just like a big loving happy family, everyone contributes and works together, it was a wonderful experience. I would highly suggest them to anyone who had enough and wants to live a better life all you need is an open mind and desire for change. They'll walk you through the rest! Good luck

I could not more strongly suggest that those seeking compassionate, professional help with substance abuse and/or addiction issues look to other programs and avenues than this place.

On Monday at 2:15pm I asked if I was going to receive a virtual link for my appointment at 3. They said that the therapist would email me the link 30 minutes prior to the meeting. So I waited... and waited... and waited. At 3:22 the therapist finally messaged me telling me that the company never informed them of our appointment and we'd have to reschedule. I was confused and told the therapist that the company told me that she as the therapist was supposed to contact me before the meeting. Then I get a call from the company. A woman informed me that my therapist had a medical emergency and was unable to attend my appointment. To which I said, that doesn't make any sense, the therapist just told me that you as the company never looped her in that she had an appointment with me. The woman on the phone said nooo that's not correct, let's just make a new appointment, what day are you available. Immediately, I did not feel respected and this back and fourth was extremely unprofessional. I informed the woman that this experience has left a bad taste in my mouth and I will be looking for services elsewhere. Then the woman said okay and hung up. The therapist then texted me that the company didn't put my appointment on the correct date on her schedule. Which makes no sense to me. Why contact me about our appointment on a day that my appointment isn't apparently scheduled for??? Someone or multiple people were lying, I'm unsure. Please save your time and do not go here. They need to improve their custom service greatly.

I was told it was an in person appt. She ran very late for my appt without anyone telling me how much longer I should expect to wait. I think she was nearly an hour past my appt before I saw her. Went over results. Came up with a plan. She disappeared in her office for long stretches of time while you're in the exam room. I did everything we talked about and got another round of tests a 2 months later. I've now learner nothing much changes in 2 months and the second round of blood tests should have been a few more months later. Had the second round of test. I got all my results from Quest Diagonsits and needed things explained to me. I called and texted with the office multiple times to have a follow up appt. At first who ever was on the texts was quick to reply. They then disappeared and I never got a call back from my multiple messages left on the office line. I will not be going back. I shouldn't have to work so hard to have my primary doctor review tests results with me. Can not recommend Dr. Weiss.

The last person to receive a phone call was myself personally where she reiterates that I need to be admitted to the hospital immediately and that I need to be taken off of all my psychiatric medication immediately- for which she is not the prescribing doctor. After being hurried off the phone, I contact my mother and psychiatrist to try to figure out what on earth is going on. I speak to both of them, call her back, speak to her office staff and am assured she will return my call when done with her patient. She does not return my call. I go to my follow up today looking for an explanation for her actions- which she cannot provide. She offers a contradictory timeline of events and actions and says, "I deal with so many emergencies, it's hard to keep them straight." Her office staff rolled her eyes when my mother asked what the *** happened and gave the implication that this is a regular occurrence. She accused me of being an addict, having no judgment, and not knowing what I was talking about. Personally, I found her demeanor erratic, spacey, uninformed, and generally confused- perhaps like she was the one on too many drugs rather than me. Her actions led me to call into question not only her personal judgment but mostly her medical judgment. She promotes homeopathic remedies for psychiatric disorders which can only be managed by medication and offers medical advise outside her field of expertise. Additionally, as icing atop the cake, she was 45 mins late seeing me for my 1st appt and 25 for the second. Apparently this is her norm. For homeopathy, go see her. For real medicine, look elsewhere. I am seriously contemplating reporting her to the board.

First and foremost, to anyone struggling with alcohol or drug addiction, I sympathize with all my heart and wish each and every one of you the best....but these people do NOT care about your well being, your 'recovery' or what happens to you after leaving this garbage program What they do care about is PROFIT....RECO is a revolving door of 'clients' who have adequate insurance coverage....make no mistake....your 'recovery' is an afterthought The 'clinical director' David Levin is a pseudo intellectual, pompous, narcissistic clown. Literally none of the group facilitators respect him....in fact he is a low IQ laughing stock The assigned 'therapists' are literally phoning it in....with the same regurgitated recovery propaganda you will find in every other scam 'rehab' facility in the country If you're struggling with depression, alcohol, or drug problems...I would strongly advise against putting your faith in this pure profit driven joke of a rehab facility....unless you enjoy being literally imprisoned, and endlessly scrutinized by an administration that gets off on spying on your every move nothing about RECO is authentic....its all about keeping you in their program for maximum profit....its not the fault of the part time foul mouthed group facilitators, or the creepy 'therapists'.....its about extending your PHP/IOP residency so the bean counters at RECO corporate can keep raking in $1000+ per day per 'client' I hate even leaving one star I give these frauds a negative 5 stars by the way....David and Jay....you are both complete low IQ halfwits and intellectual posers...you know it...I know it...everybody knows it Both of you come to work and pretend to care about others....you are both employed for a nice paycheck...not to help addicts and alcoholics....you are slaves to a corrupt and foul industry that preys upon unfortunate souls In closing...David Levin....shame on you for posing that you actually care about others...you're a lowlife
