If the experience had been solely with Gideon, the owner, this would be one star. I booked a month in advance via email, then called to confirm two days before the move and was assured by the owner that everything was taken care of. On moving day, when 10am came and went with no movers, I called. The owner had no record of my booking whatsoever -- it was Ashley who knew who I was and got things back on track. They arrived 45 minutes late. Stripped screws on the bed frame required calling in a third person with tools, which I understood. However, that person was sent to the wrong address. When they later couldn't find my new home either, the GPS error was blamed on me -- despite the fact that I provided the correct street name and their system autocorrected St to Ln. Throughout the day, the owner took multiple heated phone calls about a billing dispute with another customer, using Ashley as a go-between while I waited. He repeatedly reminded me he had another job at 2pm, making me feel like an inconvenience rather than a customer. He consistently talked over me -- and notably, when my male companion stepped in, suddenly my concerns were heard. He dismissed my suggestions about my own furniture and made decisions about my belongings without consulting me. At the end, the owner asked me point blank for a 5-star review. After this experience, I couldn't honestly give him one. I paid the extra hour without complaint and tipped the helper who earned it. I just expected basic professionalism in return.

From there on, I would hear NOTHING from him unless I initiated contact. Then the excuses started.. I dealt with this man for three and a half months, with him ghosting me the entire time. At no time did he ever fulfill a promise, or meet a deadline. The last straw was him AGAIN failing to provide information on the repair. That was Feb. 25, and, you guessed it, CRICKETS! I have to wonder what part of "Do It Right" applies to his business.
