Dining alone on business can make me feel awkward but she found me a "perfect place" that's was very cozy. The waitstaff was wonderful. Friendly with just the right touch of paying attention to me. Food? Airline chicken breast. It was fine. Nothing truly special but very tasty. Overall, it was a nice evening in a unique setting. After dinner I took a walk around the grounds while waiting for my Uber. Just lovely!

I did find clean and tidy bathrooms, aisles, and overall well managed place yet still seriously lacking fair compensation to employees as is this oppressive corporation. Funny how eBay does better on clothing, home goods and electronics via basic everyday sellers. Fresh Thyme and Kroger have better produce, dairy, and meets. And Costco and Aldi, best them all on value and quality!

But I have done most of my grocery shopping elsewhere. Looking to trim budgets, I've started shopping at this location after a recent move and I have to say, I am overall impressed with this store in terms of grocery selection. Most stuff on my list are in stock, and at competitive prices. There's some annoying things here or there. I think the price of ground beef is often just as expensive at comparable stores. Certain higher-end items like Ezekiel bread products are MUCH higher. The cereal I was buying here had a sudden 20 cent price jump, so now I get it from Aldi. But overall, the prices are what you expect from a typical Walmart. What has really shocked me, in a good way, is the produce selection. Collared greens and cabbage are very good at least as of Nov 2025, and I'm seeing them constantly being restocked. Store seems to be decently clean. I am going to knock off a star for the parking lot. It is very dimly lit, and honestly gives an unsafe feeling. The area is fine but they could really use some lighting. It doesn't help that the McDonald's in the same area closed, so you're often parked by a very closed, dark building.

They offer local workers a 10% discount if they are in uniform or show ID. (My grandma uniform did not count.) The staff is friendly and patient with first timers. I ordered the Bourbon and Bacon Cheesesteak with Loaded Fries. I really didn't need the fries, I was just curious. The Bourbon and Bacon Cheesesteak was good! The bread was chewy and delicious. The steak was tender and juicy with the cheese totally melted. The steak was covered with sautéed onions and topped with a sweet bbq sauce. Lettuce and tomato added freshness. I loved it. The loaded fries are loaded. They serve a generous bowl of fries smothered in bacon and cheese. The fries are fresh cut, but a little soft. The dish is decadent and your cardiologist will not approve. The dish is sharable. The dining room is clean and comfortable. There is plenty of strip mall parking.

So all of the old reviews that mention Marsh don't apply to this newer store, now called Needler's Fresh Market. I don't know -- I think Needler's is pretty good! It has a little bakery on site (Lemon's Bakery Cafe), which has hot food and baked goods, with seating by big windows that overlook Mass Ave. Beyond the cafe, the rest of the joint is a small grocery store. You'll find a modest produce section with fresh-looking greens and fruit and things. They sell house-made hummus and sushi. The wine section is abysmal, but I did find a bottle of one of my cheapie low-key favorite bottles of Malbec here, so I picked that up. The dried ramen section is also better than it needs to be. The prices seem to be about the same as Kroger and other grocery stores. Checkout was quick and there were several registers open. The only thing is that I entered through the cafe and exited by the registers, so I got a little turned around once I exited. Keep in mind that you can only enter/exit through the cafe at certain hours. They lock that door after a particular time. (I think it's 5 or 6 p.m.)
