My frame for my out of country client was supposed to be done August 2024 before I moved to DC but when I showed up or called it wasn't even done. not even a courtesy to let me know. He then tells me October 2024 but empty promises once again. I then try to call and leave a series of messages to coordinate shipping to DC of which I'll cover the cost but no response not one. A year passes and I'll called July 2025 when he finally answers but with excuses that he tried calling but no apologies. He then tells me he thought I wanted to shipped the canvas without framing to DC which isn't what I left in the voicemail Oct. '24 but I now know he got it though again no effort to text or called to confirm. with all of this I tell him please have the project done finally in Aug. '25. Tell me why I show up 8.29.25 (Friday) he sees me and says the project isn't done maybe come on Saturday but I was leaving for Singapore that day so I told him Friday has it be it and he finally got it done by 5:30p and still charge me the remaining balance for waiting a year but tells me he'll take the taxes off like he's doing me a favor. Artist please do yourselves a favor and avoid this business and go to reputable ones that stay true their words and have true professionalism.

I first visited Leather and Art Memory Trees and was impressed how peaceful was the environment,…read moreand how kindly I was greeted. When I heard the story of Memory Trees Charity I knew I wanted to help. I still want to help. 100% of all profits from sales at MemoryTrees goes to the charity and benefits young people via apprenticeships and scholarships. The beautiful leather goods and musical instruments are all hand made by the people all over the world who learn the skills to make the products that is supported by Memory Trees! A complete circle of goodness! How wonderful! 1st visit , I purchased the owner's (with his wife Debbie and son Reese) autobiographical book,"Walking on Water", and read it that night. This is a life story of a man who rose from poverty to hosting a charity that actually gives a man and a woman a fishing pole... you know ... you don't just feed them fish... you teach them how to catch the fish. I knew I wanted to know more and help however I could. Next time I bought a beautiful handmade handbag. Next time I bought a handmade Ukulele! We have become friends. Rudi, the owner, was in finances and is helping me. The store is not only beautiful and well run, it is as I said an oasis I highly recommend . You will not be disappointed. Everything is beautifully handcrafted and displayed with care. There is a gallery of Debbie's lovely paintings of flowers and South Africa from where they hail. Last but not least is a gallery of paintings of every president from George Washington to Jimmy Carter by one artist with an interesting story of how this unique collection was obtained. Have fun and be sure to talk to the owners.

This charitable foundation's gift shop features handmade leather travel, fashion and work bags for everyday use, and handmade guitars made by inhouse and international luthiers. Each item in the store is unique... and one-of-a-kind. And they have a free, permanent exhibition of oil on canvas portraits of the first 39 presidents of the United States, Washington to Carter. The artworks were done by portrait US artist Lawrence Williams, who died after completion of the last painting (Carter). The portraits are displayed in antique, museum style frames.
