In a room with a large dining room table, high back chairs, and beautiful place settings for food or crafts. They also have a wall of chairs and foot baths for pedicures and a station for manicures. They really taken themselves from a small lettering and stitching station in a small store with four people, surrounded by massive machines. To a spacious complex that is a great foundation to a glorious empire. Maybe one day, they'll turn their idea into a substantial mall that will bring the Glendale/Middle Village area even more joy than ever before. (After calling lots & lots of jewelers & engravers listed on Yelp earlier this past week, I discovered that all of the Manhattan engravers on Yelp tend to either only work one or two days of the week at a jeweler's, or their hours are in complete conflict with my work hours--ie, only M-F, 9am-5pm, when I can't take off of work just to get something engraved). As my friend's birthday was looming, & I wanted to personalize her gift, I was getting desperate. I called Ben Moses Jewelers in the Diamond District, because they had a good review on Yelp--the guy there told me that although they only have an engraver one or two days a week, he kindly suggested that I try Tony, in booth #275. I called Tony at 10:30 on Saturday morning, told him I needed about 7 words engraved on a small metal antique, and he said come on by. I figured I'd have to rush down there to get it to him in the morning, in order to leave enough time for him to get the work done before he closed at 4pm, but when I got there, he said he could do the work immediately. We talked about font options, he showed me a few examples of what it would look like on his computer, popped the item in his engraver, and 5 minutes later, a beautiful inscription was added to my antique. The price was FANTASTIC, he didn't charge me a rush fee because he wasn't backed up with other work, and he even gave me a free gift box for the engraved item. I don't know if he only does jewelry & small items, or if he also could engrave larger items, but he is DEFINITELY worth contacting for your engraving needs.
