They were highly responsive, professional, and easy to work with throughout the planning process. Additional to the emailing, Joe & Ken video-called us one week prior to our event to review the reception timetable, song requests, and venue details. Months prior to our event, Joe and Ken provided us access to their client portal. This portal allowed us to add the reception timetable, the names of our wedding party, songs for our grand entrance, the first dance song, the last song of the night, and other must-play songs. Joe hit every song we requested that night, including the Filipino line dance song in Tagalog. The dance floor was never stagnant or empty. All generations had the best time on the floor. If you have Spotify, then building a custom playlist for the night is easy to transfer over to the client portal in two mouse clicks. Speaking of the grand entrance, since my wife and I had a small ceremony last year with our immediate families only, we worked with Ken to customize our grand entrance to include a video of our ceremony highlights projected onto a curtain. We wanted our extended families and friends that were not able to witness last year's ceremony to watch our special moment as if they were there, too. Ken was able to edit our highlight video to 2-3 minutes. Once the pronouncement occurred in the video (I now pronounce you... you may now kiss the bride), my wife and I burst through the curtains like a high school football team at homecoming with our banger entrance song. The grand entrance was GRAND AF and our guests were hyped. We were told by numerous family members and friends that it was the best entrance they have ever seen - the projector image was clear from 100 feet away, the song was fun, and the timing was perfect. Also, our family and friends loved the Walking Photo Booth. Typically, my wife and I would wait in long lines at other weddings for the photo booth. This time around Mike from Amp Event Professionals had a handheld ring light photo booth that walked up to us. He was able to capture all the guests throughout the evening in their most spirited moments - into photos and GIFs! Super cool tech, super worth the add-on cost. We made sure to clear this Walking Photo Booth with our photographer since we were basically doubling our photo amount. My only suggestion when working with Joe and Ken is that you should hydrate a lot leading up to the celebration because both my quads cramped up hard that night from dancing so much. Seriously. We were all jumping, moving, and grooving for hours straight. Overall, they exceeded our expectations and gave us a night that we will cherish forever. We highly recommend Amp Event Professionals to anyone looking for respectful guys that just want to throw you the best dance party.

We decided to still have our ceremony and postpone our reception to next year. Ken was extremely accomodating and checked in with us numerous times throughout quarantine to make sure we were okay, and the transition process was seamless. He understood the difficult decision and never gave any push back on what we needed to do. With that being said, fast forward to our ceremony. When discussing our vision, Ken offered the ability to make it more personalized. This meant that he would record my Husband and I talked about how we met and basically tell our love story while the bridal party is walking down the aisle. Ken came over to our home and recorded us separately so I had no idea what my other half was saying until the Day of. Listening to it during the ceremony has me SOBBING even before I stepped out to walk down the aisle. After the ceremony, he sends us the clip allowing us to be able to listen to it over and over again. We already can't wait to work with him for our reception next year! I also had given him a list of songs to NOT be played even if they were requested, he did not follow through with this. This guy is a trip and certainly not worth $1000, please do yourself a favor and avoid booking with him.

Cam shared helpful insights based on his past experiences while being incredibly accommodating. Perhaps most importantly, if we asked for something that may have slightly conflicted with his recommendation (e.g. we did not want uplighting) he was not judgmental and totally went with the flow. He even managed to get us a disco ball, per our special request! The result was IMO the best and most unique wedding dance party we could have asked for. If you like old school hip-hop, dance/electronic, and indie pop music (and loathe the chicken dance), we would highly recommend DJ Cam Jamz!! But actually, no matter what your taste in music, we would recommend him... because he cares about his clients and will play whatever they want in order to create the perfect experience for them.

During your first meeting, he provides a portal where you can note any requests and no plays, in addition to specifiying your first dance, entrance choices, etc. Ruki coordinated with my friends for surprise dances and also provided excellent MC-ing such as calling out table numbers for the buffet. The amber uplighting and moving lights he provided in the South Asian package were also amazing and perfectly set the vibe I was going for! DJ Ruki is unethical, and has inflated his business on this site with fake reviews (example: there…read moreare 21 reviews in only a ten day span). Our wedding was set for June 2020, but due to COVID-19, it was cancelled by the venue. We paid him in full and he has refused to re-work our contract and refund any portion of the total; we went from 3 events for 350 people, to 1 event for 50 people. That's over $5,000. During the start of the pandemic Ruki was unresponsive other than sending us a mass client email stating as per his contract "no refunds under any circumstance". We sought legal counsel, and during a pandemic this language in a contract is void. We called him, emailed him, posted a press release, sent a legal demand letter, all with no reply. I posted my experience on my Facebook page (global post under 'Ankit Rawal') and received numerous comments with him owing thousands of dollars to others unrelated to this year's wedding cancellations. With his lack of reply to outreach for weeks, he had the audacity to comment on my Facebook post which is the first and only time we have heard from him during the pandemic. I encourage anyone considering to hire him to read this post, it is unfiltered and authentic, unlike his web page here. https://www.facebook.com/ankit.rawal.16/posts/10100160365239199 As further example of his unethical practices, he had a lawyer reach out to us to settle and took ample time in between outreach, delaying resolution. 2 months later, he has stopped responding to even his lawyer. His lawyer wished us the best. We are currently in the process of filing a lawsuit in small claims court against him as keeping full monetary payment for services not rendered is not only unethical, but a breach of contract. We are also filing this lawsuit with others who he has taken money from for work performed and then not paid. Our experience has deeply soured the wedding planning process. We only hope to help avoid this for other couples.
