Before my panels were installed on my garage roof, I asked both the sales person and the installer if I should wait to get solar panels because I was afraid I might need to replace my garage roof within 10 years. They told me not to worry because they would come out and remove the panels and replace them for free if the roof needed replacement. Five years later my roof started to leak. I think it may have been from the weight of the heavy concrete blocks they used to hold the panels down. All Energy Solar refused to help me. I ended up paying someone else $1100 to remove the panels and I lost all the moeny I had invested in the solar panels. So don't get solar panels put on your roof unless you know the roof will outlast the solar panels. read more

We are looking for a qualified Solar installer that works in Minnesota. We set a time for an appointment, researched the requested energy consumption information and sent it on as requested. When it came time for the confirmed appointment, Sam was a no show. We'll never know why they ghosted the appointment, but a notice of cancellation would have been appreciated. read more

I had my enphase system go out. All Energy said it would be 2-3 weeks to fix. 2 months later they finally came out. The guy who was here was more interested in vaping than looking at the system. He did put in the new part but when I told him it wasn't working he said it only needed time and that if it didn't work Enphase would update the software. The next day called Enphase and they said the guy had not finished setting up the new part and they couldn't do anything. I called All Energy to get someone out to finish the work and ended up on hold forever. I finally did talk to someone and asked to have someone come out that next day to finish what they messed up. I was told it would be two weeks even though I might be in hospice then they did not seem to care. Stay away from this company read more

Very satisfied with the price, installation and performance of our new solar system and SPAN panel. Excellent folllow up and communication throughout the installation and activation. Having had two previous houses with solar we were familiar with the process and know that there are many ways a project can be delayed. This was my second time using All Energy Solar. Am as happy with the outcome as I was the first time. We had a challenging install and they worked through it to get the job done well. Only suggestions are around project management. The manager changed a few times, so we weren't always sure who we were to work with. Experienced a hail situation and worst customer experience to date. pushed me for a removal date - hard. Removed the panels, re shingled within a few days afterwards and now have to wait 8 weeks for reinstall!!! No other company will touch their system. Took a week to hear from a manager, only to inform me I won't hear back for another week! 8 weeks and that's assuming no weather delays. read more

We unfortunately had a very negative experience with All Energy Solar throughout the install and activation of our solar system. I'm frankly at a loss how they have such glowing reviews given we experienced a lack of communication, improper initial installation that resulted in a lengthy delay of interconnection, multiple improper repairs of the initial installation failure, failure to provide our warranty documents, and just a complete lack of good faith effort to identify, correct, and prioritize their errors as they occurred. For brevity, I'm only going to describe a few of the larger issues, but I also have plenty of documentation from emails, phone records and voicemails, showing numerous smaller issues occurring throughout the entire process. 1. Our system was improperly installed and failed its interconnection test with Xcel. This caused a 3-week delay in activation. They said they fixed it that day but no one could tell me what they changed... 2. ...So I had to repeatedly ask our project manager to send someone out to make sure it was fixed. They sent an electrician on the morning of our 2nd test. He spent 4 hours working on it (obviously it had not been repaired previously). It passed but... 3. ...1/2 of our panels were not working at, and after, the time of the interconnection test. I discovered this the next morning when we weren't generating our expected power. 4. Upon notification of our system problem, our project manager said they'd send someone "in a few days" to look at it. Really? After multiple installation errors by All Energy Solar it still was not a priority to fix. I had to track down a manager in their service department who did prioritize checking it out. Turned out the last electrician left a fuse out of the non-functional string. I hope our interconnection pass was legitimate, but I really have no way of knowing. 5. Our closeout meeting was never scheduled. I had to call and email to get it scheduled. At our closeout meeting I was told our warranty documentation would be emailed shortly. It's a month later, I've asked for it twice and it still hasn't arrived. 6. We were billed for equipment that was not needed. To All Energy's credit they did notify me of the error, but it took 6 weeks and multiple phone calls/emails to actually get the money returned to us. Twice we were told it was in the mail only to have it not arrive because it had not actually been sent yet. I'm leaving out other details on scheduling errors, general lack of communication on everything, and other more minor but still concerning events that occurred. I was left with the feeling that they do not pay any attention to details, do not have any desire to proactively fix their errors, I have no faith in the quality of the install, and in general they were extremely frustrating and disappointing to work with. Consider yourself warned. I wish we had been before signing a contract with them. read more

5 years ago we had All Energy Solar install our panels. We have been so happy with this company, the customer service is beyond expectations, quality is excellent as is the price. Last year we had storm damage and we asked All Energy for help replacing the roof. They took care care of everything, from contacting our insurance company, pulling city permits, removing the panels, replacing the roof and then the panels. We didn't have to a thing. Anton, our project coordinator was stellar, always calling every week with updates. David, in charge of the roofing team was so good we wanted to adopt him. The clean up after the roofing looked liked a roof was never replaced, it was that good. We really recommend this company, we know you will be as happy as we are! read more

I would not recommend this company at all. 1) The salesperson ignored us each time we requested the name of a company that would provide solar financing. We kept telling the salesperson we did not know a local finance company and needed their help. It wasn't until after our solar system had been approved by the local municipality and we were required to provide the initial deposit that the salesperson finally gave us the name of a bank in MA. 2) We informed the Salesperson time and time again of our timeline to get the installation completed due to our work schedules. However, the Salesperson deemed it necessary to ignore this as well. By the time our financing was completed, our timeline was destroyed. But because we were under contract with All Energy, our finance company still had to issue them the initial deposit. Because All Energy Solar could not be bothered to meet our installation schedule, we had to make 3 payments for a solar system we did not have installed yet. 3) ONCE THE SYSTEM WAS FINALLY ALL APPROVED AND READY TO GO ACTIVE, ALL SOLAR DID NOT BOTHER TO COME OUT AND TURN THE SYSTEM ON!!! They instead require the homeowner to go out and flip switches on a system they have no knowledge on!!! Of course, because we are NOT Solar Technicians, all the switches did not get flipped on and we have NOT been receiving the benefits of reduced energy bills for at least the last 2 months. 4) Because they did not bother to get the serial number on the system when they installed it, All Solar Energy was unable to log into our internet to check the output of the panels. So.... they ended up having to send a Technician out anyway to do this because we REFUSED to do their job any longer. Of course, they set an appointment up at 8 am on a Monday morning and then had the nerve to call at 7:50 am saying they couldn't get out there until 9:30. This has been their standard practice all throughout this process. Set appointments and then hold the customer hostage to when they deem it necessary to show up. IN A NUTSHELL - IF YOU GO WITH THIS COMPANY FOR SOLAR INSTALLATION AFTER THIS REVIEW, YOU WILL HAVE NO ONE TO BLAME BUT YOURSELF. read more

I was and continue to be very pleased with All Energy Solar. The design and project management teams were professional, friendly and terrific to work with, and they made this a very smooth and easy project from start to finish. Brandon Charbonneau was my design engineer and he was clear, complete and personable. Laura Abell was my project manager and she ushered me and the team through the entire process flawlessly, and was always a joy to speak with on the phone. The crew arrived on site when they said they would and the installation was just as predicted. I even had a situation where I had to wait for a delayed payment from a contract for deed in order to close out the project, and All Energy was very accommodating. I might have paid a little bit more than I would have from another company (I really don't know) -- doesn't matter; it was worth every cent! read more

We looked at a couple of solar providers for our project. Our friends had a positive experience with All Energy (which is why I gave it 3 stars-balanced out) and it was a top provider, so we included it in our evaluation. The sales person showed up late, but was polite and seemed honest so that was great. It was all downhill from there. As we evaluated other offers and asked questions, he became ruder and ruder. He made disrespectful comments about how we would never decide (it had been a couple of weeks). When another company came in significantly lower, we asked what the difference was, and all of a sudden the price was lower. He indicated that it was 'financing' fees. We did NOT go with them. He also covered optional ways to pay, federal rebate program, and Excel Energy's role. In May John came out and did the engineering site visit to design our system. Great job start to finish! Brandon was the sales person with whom I met and was very knowledgeable in laying out my options and evaluating my site. They use a shading analysis tool which none of the other bids I got had used. The company employs everyone from installation crews to electricians so nothing is subcontracted vs. other installers in the area. Overall I couldn't be happier! And free energy!! Once installed that's when issues started. Since September my solar inverter quite working. I had no idea until I checked my solar edge app which recorded no solar activity for a month. I went to the office on energy park and a project manager said oh that will take a while to fix as solar edge our vendor is slow. I was called several weeks later that the inverter was finally fixed - but that another part was missing and that would take another 3 weeks until thanksgiving. I have called to see if that is done and no call back. Spent 20k on solar trying to do the right thing but still after 3 months have no idea if it is working. Follow up service not good. Still no call back. Disappointed. read more

When I decided to add PV to my single family home in a historically protected part of East St Paul, I was unaware of the challenges ahead, but all four local PV installers I got quotes from assured me that it would be no problem to gain approval and get the system installed and operational within a 6 month window of time. My home in St Paul is the first ever to gain an overturned historic preservation committee decision by city council, allowing a modern exterior, visible change on an architecturally protected home. This required a lot of leg work from both my contractor's representative and myself. When I reviewed all of the bids on like 10-panel 72 cell 3.9kW solar PV systems from the four big players in town, I ended up going with AES for three simple reasons: 1.) they had a better quality panel, an LG NeON 2.) their price was the best by $1,000 3.) the power output from those better panels bumped the system from 3.5 to 3.9kW. Signing paperwork in November of 2017 for an anticipated start of April-June, 2018. Time dragged on with no updates in to the spring, HPC fired back early summer. two HPC meetings and a city council meeting later with two different AES representatives (who, although showed up, knew far less about the product, installation, impact and regulations than I did), I finally overturned the HPC's denial and got approval from the St Paul city council to install. After gaining approval, no motion with AES once again - my installation date was silently pushed once, twice, four, five times.. I finally made a stink as the system really needed to be active within a calendar year to start taking advantage of the tax credit, an important facet on a quite expensive installation for someone of limited means like myself. I finally got a hard and fast install date from my project manager. November 1st. Great, except it was smack in the middle of a vacation I had notified AES about a month prior (per their request). They were able to, after several emails, swap my install with the next people in line and move it to the 5th, cutting my vacation short by just one day, I accepted. The installers were professional, polite, and efficient. great work. My project manager Marilea G. was also great. Brian Allen was not helpful, was non compliant several times in my request of a communications summary after a change order was suggested by AES and countered by myself. I was later told he is co-owner of the company, which is worrying with how he handled himself. At least he hired good people. As I write this, November 13, 2018 - over a year after signing, my system is installed but still not active. Hoping to get production working before the end of 2018. read more

I'm very happy with the solar system installed at my St. Paul house by AllEnergy Solar. I'm making money this summer instead of spending it on electricity. The employees are professional and knowledgeable, and the work was first rate. When I had a couple of issues with the operation of the system after installation, techs were sent out to fix them. It's nice to know that, in addition to the financial benefit, I'm helping the planet, too. Finally, they worked with me to design a system that conforms with the layout of my house and garage. We met with Brandon, a sales rep from All Energy Solar in early July. He was able to give us a free quote and clearly lay out our options. He was very knowledgable about all the federal and local rebates available to us and was patient in explaining how it would all work. We were told we'd have the panels installed 3 months later, but they overbooked themselves and had to bump back the date of install 3 or 4 times. It was disappointing, but I guess too many people wanting solar energy is a good thing! We were ready to switch to a company with better time-management, but they assured us the work would be completed before the end of the year and worked through some freezing cold temps to get it done. Once the panels were finally installed, we scheduled a time for the electrician to come out and do his part. That's when things really went downhill. I waited at home for him at the scheduled time and when he didn't show, called in only to be told he wouldn't be out that day, but that they'd call us back to reschedule. They didn't call back, so we called them and were told he'd be out the next morning...then that afternoon. He finally came a few days later, stayed for an hour and left saying he had to check on another job but would be back in a couple hours. I stayed home patiently waiting for him when 4 hours later, someone else came by to pick up his stuff and tell me that he wouldn't be back that day after all and I'd need to take off another day and stay home to let him in the house unless I wanted to just leave my place open all day while I was out. The lack of clear communication and lack of respect for my time turned me from being a somewhat disappointed customer to an irate one. After several complaints, the electrician did come by with an assistant and they finished up in just a few hours. Every worker we met with was very friendly and respectful, took their shoes off in the home without even being asked, and cleaned up after themselves once the work was completed. Now that it's up and running, I can say that thankfully the equipment seems to work better than the company's project management. We love being able to check our electric usage minute-by-minute on their user-friendly website and are told it will alert both us and the company if anything goes awry. I am very excited to be using solar power and strongly encourage others to get it too. However, All Energy Solar has increased their sales immensely this past year and it seems they have overbooked themselves and are promising more than they can deliver, so you may want to shop around. I'm giving them 3 stars for the friendliness of their workers and the ease of monitoring the system now that the install is complete. If they'd been more upfront and honest in their project timeline and not had repeated no-call, no-shows or last minute cancellations due to poor time management, I would have happily given them 5 stars and put up signs in my yard telling others to give them a call. *I've heard from the company regarding my review and was told they appreciate the feedback and apologize for the negative experience we had. They explained that the company has grown a lot this year and that unfortunately this is how a lot of their jobs go. For what it's worth, they promised that they are actively working to address the issues. I hope that's true because they clearly have some stellar employees and the system itself rocks. read more
