I contacted Dog days & Cat naps. I was surprised when the owner JP answered the phone. After a long conversation , all he had available on short notice was a 30 min drop in session with Lora. I couldn't be happier with her services. She was on time and followed what we talked about to the exact point. Because we had back to back trips I had to schedule a 3 hr in house pup- sitter. This time we had Kourtney she was always on time. She played, walked and gave Solo hugs and cuddles for their time together. Both Lora and Kourtney were great with Solo. I also have two cats and my boy cat needs medication every day. He takes it fairly easy, but you still need somebody who knows what they're doing. So the first visit in the morning is a 45 minute visit the dogs get fed,and they take the time to go outside and really play with the dogs and throw the ball for them and make sure they get their exercise. While they're outside, she came in and gave the cats their wet food and the one his medicine and also cleaned out and checked the litter boxes and the water daily. On either of my first or second day, I got a phone call that there was a lot of blood in the house and one of my cats was bleeding profusely. She sent me a photo and I know the cat had a little red raspberry in that spot and I assume that either he bit it off or it got scratched off. it was quite a bit of blood and it wouldn't stop. Between Dana and Charlotte they took the cat to the vet who numbed the area and did something to stop the bleeding They also knew a Carpet Cleaner who came in the very next day and cleaned my chairs and the carpet. Dana and Charlotte went through and thoroughly cleaned my house because there was blood on the walls, on the floor, and everywhere I can't imagine another pet sitting company going to the degree that they went to to make sure my animals were safe and that my house and furniture was not ruined oh, and every visit I got several photos of each animal, which made me happy as well

Our little 5 lb girl, Munequita, was…read morediagnosed with meningitis and has spent the past year struggling with seizures, relapses, and neurological disability. Brain disease affects her tiny body is so many ways a person wouldn't think about until dealing with it. Munequita has a leftward turn that both makes her walk in circles and, on bad days, corkscrews her head and whole body to the side such that she's a little doughnut. Medication doesn't relieve this, but Betty does. When our dog is having a bad day, Betty comes in and whispers to her, loves her, touches her with those magic fingers. She finds all the sore places, muscles overtaxed from the struggles she has in walking, finds and names the exact muscle in her neck that is twisted and painful, discovers tension radiating up into clenched doggie jaws and massages the mandible loose again. Over the day, we watch Munequita straighten. By the next morning, she's relaxed again, relieved and comfortable. Not only that, but as part of her low-key seizures activity that resists medication, Munequita went through several months when she had a pernicious involuntary and almost constant bobbing of the head. Betty showed us how to get it to stop by applying pressure to the muscles. If she'd cared about money and not her patient, she could have scheduled millions of appointments in which she gave Munequita momentary relief. Instead, because she cares first about the dog, she gave her knowledge freely, taught us how to do this ourselves. Being able to stop the bob at any time of day or night helped Munequita so much. There is no way to measure the relief it brought our dog, or to put a price tag on this piece of knowledge just handed to us. Betty has two levels of certification, she knows all the muscles, she knows all the science of massage therapy. There's also something more, some je ne sais quoi, that goes beyond the science and training and lets her connect in a deep infinity of the soul with her furry little patient and covey care, and comfort, and wellness.
