Stopped in for a late lunch and was seated very quickly. My waitress was on top of making sure I had everything I needed. This is a bright and comfy spot to get a meal. We do not live in SF but visit often enough. Whenever we end up staying the night, the next day we eat breakfast at the All Day Cafe. It's a bright airy place with reasonably priced very good food. The Chicken and Waffle are absolutely fantastic. To date, we've never had a problem with the place. This last Sunday we stopped in for breakfast. There were maybe 3 tables with people seated at them. We were escorted through the restaurant, past several open tables, through another seating area and taken into a drab, dark, bar. Our whole family was thinking "WTF" is this about? It was apparent that anyone not Sunday best dressed was escorted into this dungeon of a bar. Our waitress was attentive enough but you could just tell she hated working in this all brown liquor enshrined faux tavern. Our food arrived in less than 5 minutes, which has NEVER happened before. Cold waffles, congealed sausage gravy. It's clear they had all of this prepared for a large Sunday rush that just wasn't there. I ended up with scrambled eggs after asking for "Over-Easy". I didn't know eggs could be drier than desert sand, but the Sahara is a tropical oasis in comparison. We tipped well, because regardless of service, employees deserve a living wage. I noticed that our bill came from "Taphouse 41" an uninspired name if there ever was one. So why were we seated in the bar and given a receipt from that bar? My only guess is to legitimize the revenue of the bar keeping the two businesses afloat. Maybe the bar is a way of having food past 4pm at the "All Day" Cafe? Who knows. We've never had problems before. It's always been great. Maybe it was a bad day, short staff, broken grill, who knows. read more

When we walked around Sioux Falls we asked around for recommendations and everyone told us to try Chislic. I had never heard of it so when we went to dinner at the All Day Cafe we had to try some. Chislic was house marinated sirloin tips served with bourbon bbq and kettle chips. It was okay. I'm glad I tried it but I thought the sirloin was chewy and salty. Still it was an experience. I also ordered their sausages & bier. It was delicious - bier braised sausages, caramelized onions, sauerkraut, sweet bavarian mustard, braised red cabbage, and hot bacon potato salad. This is such a great family friendly restaurant to come to for breakfast! The food and prices are great and they have a lot of choices (waffles, pancakes, breakfast sets, hamburgers, salads). There are many places to choose from for breakfast. I chose All Day Cafe because it is usually quiet enough to carry on a conversation. The restaurant was clean and the waitress friendly. We selected The"Easy Plate" which consists of 2 eggs, 2 pancakes, and a choice of meats. Unfortunately the meal was cold when it arrived. Cold eggs are not appetizing. The Food & Drink Grab the picture of mimosa you will not be disappointed. If you want to know a flavor then the Hawaiian for sure. I tried the chicken fried steak, with hashbrowns and cheese grits. I was not sold on the cheese grits at all. I actually sent them back. The gravy on the chicken griend steak was AHMAZING and the hashbrown weren't to bad either. Would I eat there again? Really great food, I take my grandma there since she loves the breakfasts. Wish this place was open for dinners. It one of the busiest places in town on Sundays but it is worth the wait and she gets to see a lot of her friends there too. I've been to this place twice. It's in a strip center so plenty of parking. I got lunch the first time and this time I got chicken n waffle. Our waitress was super friendly and quick. Maybe if we ordered the full order it might be different. The chicken fried steak was good, but different tasting than what im used to. It was similar tasting in Reno Nevada as well. The gravy has a different taste, kind of like chicken. My wife thinks they used chicken stock soup or similar to flavor the gravy. Maybe thats a normal flavor/taste in the midwest? It was fine. We didn't eat many places on our visit to SD, but ADC made the cut! This was chosen by a companion as a breakfast place. Menu variety is nice and pricing is on point. Service was excellent and I loved that all customers were spaced out to accommodate for COVID. All of us enjoyed our food. They had very cool cocktails on their menu - even for breakfast. The weather was icky when we were there and I had been craving a hot chocolate (I do not like coffee). I didn't see it on the menu but there were A LOT of drinks. I asked if they had it hoping I had overlooked it and our waitress offered to make it. It was tasty and hit the spot :) I also enjoyed the chicken and waffles - it was so much food I had leftovers for another breakfast and it reheated well. From the name, I didn't really expect such a nice atmosphere... it is very roomy and pleasantly decorated with both a modern and "homey" feel. When in Sioux Falls, South Western Ave and South Louise Avenue are the outskirt areas of the town where you eat or shop for things. As you drive down Western headed towards West 41st Street, you will see Shopping hub to your left and a Scheels Sporting Goods Store. As you enter the center of the Mall parking lot, off of West 41st, you'll see All Day Cafe. In a previous carnation, this establishment was probably a casino buffet or even a poker room with a sexy dim lit vibe and a killer bar off to the side. Today, this place offers a wide array of dishes, cocktails, etc. On top of the top notch and reliable service, whoever the master mind is hiding in the kitchen: that person (s) has got game!!! Every thing I had was nicely presented, seasoned and flavorful. To start, I had the Bloody Bulls, a cocktail variation of the Bloody Mary with Beef Stock added to the elixir along with a whole green onion and a whole piece of bacon. After 5 hours of driving here from Des Moines, it hit the spot. For the side salad, we shared a beet salad with amazing goat cheese bits that melts on your tongue. The dressing was perfectly added to the fresh lettuce and there were sweet pieces of tangerines (or maybe Mandarin Orange?) and wasn't too oily or dominating and instead was perfectly complementing. For the main dish, I had Walleye with steamed veggies and mashed potatoes. All tasted hearty and delicious. They offered a side soup for just $2, a chicken white bean chili soup that was infused with flavor. The first thought that came to mind was that the chef woke up at 1am to slow cook it to the core. So much flavor to it. For dessert, I had the bread pudding. This was good and served more to allow me to pass out tonight. I also have tried the sirloin steak: it is topped with fried onions. The meat is amazing. Strongly recommend this establishment as it is comfortable and a cozy place to have dinner. Will come here again when in Sioux Falls. PS-The Bloody Caesar is my favorite of the different Bloody Mary options they offer. read more

Hit this place on a busy weekend morning. We were able to go next door to Sheels while we waited for a table as they text you when your table is up. Waited about 30 minutes. I was a little concerned that the food service would take a long time as they did not appear to have enough servers for the amount of people seated. I was wrong to be concerned. I've been here several times and the service has always been good, it's very cute and clean, but the food is just OK. They have a pretty big menu, but it seems like they do best with the breakfast stuff. Their chicken and waffle is probably the most popular item (I'm vegetarian so I've never tried it but friends/family always love it). The coffee drinks are also really good. It's always fresh and their items are really creative, but the portions can be kinda small for the price. For example, I had the Thai pasta (without chicken) and I was a little disappointed. The peanut sauce did not have much flavor or spice and was too sweet and the veggies were a little undercooked/crunchy. I ordered a Ham Benny, but it just didn't taste that great. The egg came out over-hard and there wasn't much hollandaise sauce which was a bummer. Both the sandwich came with mushrooms and the curry soup was essentially ALL MUSHROOMS. Here is the good: Open air design, very clean and comfortable seating. Now the bad: A very long wait, 18 mins before a server came to table after being seated. The menu stated Biscuit's and Gravy, what I received one biscuit with two table spoons of gravy. Very, very small portions. With portion size, way over priced. Manager did come over and comp, half of the ticket price, when it was all done, due to the long wait. Would I eat in this cafe again? No not at all. We just left All Day Cafe. And "Wow" what a delight! We almost went to pancake house, but I remember seeing All Day Cafe driving around the day before. Coffee is what we wanted since our hotel coffee was horrible. Our breakfast was delicious, and the coffee was fantastic. My breakfast choice was the Bacado, which had avocado eggs and bacon. My wife had the garden omelet. Both were way better than we expected. Sourdough bread, and Grits. We are originally from California, we moved to Eureka South Dakota almost 2 years ago.
