Another sh** show at a veterinary clinic in the Flathead. What is the matter with the vets in the area?? My dog went in for a simple booster for a DHPP booster, and for some reason, they said the actual vet had to give the shot, not a tech. Took him in at he appointed time and ended up having to wait 55 minutes!!! in the exam room. No one came in to say sorry for the wait, nothing. I understand that there may have been a sick puppy, but it is just common deceny and respect to let your client and patient know what is going on. When we left, the waiting room was like a crazy house, dogs everywhere. I'm astounded that veterinarians (especially a new facility) don't have bigger, better waiting rooms. I'm done! read more

My usual vet is out of town where I spend too much time due to work. He gave a terminal diagnosis as multiple tumors were closing off my elderly dog's colon and urethra. I decided to bring him for his final days to his home in Montana. I went looking for a local small vet clinic that would have a caring and compassionate vet for the euthanasia procedure. I noted the five stars reviews for All Creatures and thought I found the right place. The procedure went horribly wrong. I was extremely emotional at the time due to my recent cancer battle where my dog had been at my side throughout and helped me through it. My judgement might have been clouded by this? I asked my regular vet for an expert analysis. 1. An initial sedative shot is a part of any caring vet's procedure. I had to ask for that shot to be given. As it turned out if that shot had not been given he would have suffered much much more. 2. Misjudging the amount of heart stopping drug that had to be administered is inexcusable. A second shot needed to be given. His judgement is that the Vet at All Creatures was "incompetent" and should not be practicing. The proper handling of this type of procedure is one of the most important of any vet's practice. The very least I owed my dog for 15 years of unconditional love and companionship was a dignified death as pain free as possible. I failed. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID. I've waited a long time to write this, but decided I have too. Dr. (I use that title very loosely) Pierson is the most arrogant, incompetent vet I have ever met. I had just moved here and needed a vet for my senior dog, so I scheduled an appointment and told them the purpose was to get established since he was senior. Sure enough he had an issue and I called to tell them I was on the way. I was told they are very busy and I would need to make an appointment, which are at least 2 weeks out. I re-advised, "I'M ON MY WAY". They worked us in. The diagnosis was neurological and we would hit him with meds and then give ongoing meds to maintain. I was giving him various meds every 4 hours, but he did come around. I gave them a call when I was nearing the end of the prescription to find out what the ongoing prescription that Ms. Pierson had advised he would need would be. She called me back with a nasty attitude saying Cody and I weren't the ones who read all the books and went to school, so we shouldn't be the ones saying what should happen. He doesn't need an ongoing prescription. I advised that she previously said he would. She again got nasty and said, "well, he doesn't". This change happened without her seeing him again. So, no ongoing prescription and 1 week later I'm calling them at 4:55pm and they refuse to answer the phone, so I leave a messages. 4am that next morning I'm at the emergency vet putting him down for the same problem he had. The emergency vet was speechless with how Ms. Pierson acted. I did receive a call later that morning from them and told the gal he passed. She was genuinely upset by hearing the news, but that doesn't negate the actions of the worthless Ms. Pierson. Stay clear if you value your pets read more

Amazing experience! We were seeking a second opinion for our 11 year old fur baby who was diagnosed with cushings. We were able to get an appointment quickly and Dr Neils was so sweet & kind with our pup. She spent a lot of time explaining cushings and our options for treatment. She answered all of our questions without hesitation. I then had to call a few days later while we were waiting for the test results because our dog stopped eating and drinking. The receptionist was so compassionate and caring and passed the information onto the dr right away. I highly recommend them! read more

New Vet Clinic. Great first visit experience. I called on short notice and they fit my dog in. What I REALLY appreciated was their safe and sane approach to Covid protocols. I had to call when I arrived and wait in my car until someone came out to get us. Masks required. What a refreshing attitude from a business in a town that prides itself on its anti-vaccine anti-mask attitudes. This business put its customers safety ahead of local public opinion. Once in. My wait time was very short. The vet thoroughly examined my doggie, showing kindness and compassion for the scared doggie, gently handles her, finished up and sent me on my way with the anitibiotics. The office staff was friendly (and masked up - yeah!), the waiting room and examine rooms were clean and clean smelling. Everything seemed to run smoothly in the office environment. There are at least 2 Vets on duty or on call. Your pet will see whoever is available. My doggie saw Dr. Pierson. Both Vets are great! I am so glad we switched Vet Clinic to this practice. read more

After being a rather uncaring diagnoses from another veterinarian, I called these guys hoping to have some sort of compassionate insight to a very sick stray cat I'd adopted from the neighborhood and was feeding for months. He got progressively worse and I wanted to see about what I could do to help the poor little guy out. The woman dr. there was probably the most compassionate person I'd ever met work in this line of business. After going back and forth for a few weeks, it got down to us having to put this stray cat down. I've had to put down a cat prior at another vetrianrian for the purpose (he was far too sick and beyond help) as this stray, but the female doctor made the whole process bareable at the very least. The staff was kind, caring and consoling for such an extremely dark and saddening morning. They gave us time to say goodbye, talk us through each and every process, and literally hold our hand during and after the procedure. Atleast in front of us they were incredibly respectful with his body and were compassionate about explaining cremation. The only gripe I have is that their cremation contract through a local animal cremation business was devoid of any options when the cremation business actually has alot of options for the grieving owner. When I went back to pick up my cat's ashes, they were in a brown sandwich bag inside of the cremation box. The note from the crematory had different options listed as to what we could've had done with our cat prior to cremation; namely, having a clay print of his paw. That seriously would have been nice if the vet made that option aware. If you work either inside or outside of away contract with a pet crematorium, wouldn't you advertise their services better? Especially if those services are something as personable as a paw print engravement? Was sad. I feel like I'll never have that piece of him when I could have if the advertising was better. Very sad. When I did go to pick up his ashes, I was grieving, and the front desk receptionist was incredibly nonchalant and devoid of emotion even though she clearly knew it was my pet's ashes she was handing me. I wasn't asking for a half hour conversation about it or a couple hundred, 'I'm sorry for your loss', but I was looking for a little solidarity in her attitude and a reflection of that caring, compassionate attitude I'd received the day I had to put him down there. read more

What an extraordinary experience. I called at 8a and they told me to bring in my sick cat Cali ASAP. As soon as I arrived, they got us in an exam room, and Dr. Pierson was looking at her within just a few minutes. Dr was thorough and handled my cat well, even though Cali HATES to be held. An antibiotic and steroid shot later, and they sent us home to recover. Dr Pierson really impressed me. read more

I know WAY too many DVM's for any one person's budget. That is why THIS review should be the last one you read regarding vets in the Kalispell area. These are the people. Call them first. Call only them. And don't hesitate to call. They make the time, they do incredible work. And they charge less than I expected. My pup needed 10 sutures on her leg. The doc bandaged this leg up so darn well and creatively that pup (12 years old) was able to lose the cone of shame a week early and NEVER tried to chew off the bandage. Search no more. I can't say enough good things about the experience we had today at All Creatures Great and Small!! It began with the wonderful receptionist who set out minds at ease as visitors to the area by getting us right in with our sick little 15 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Lola. Upon arrival we were taken right in to a room and we were greeted by Dr. Stacey Neil's and her vet tech. They both were loving and compassionate with both Lola and with my husband and I. Dr. Neil's was able to diagnose Lola's problem and prescribe medications to reduce inflammation and eliminate her pain. Lola is resting easy now and so are we, thanks to All Creations and their exceptional staff! Just an added note, if pricing is a concern, we found there fees to be VERY fair. I took my fish in for fin rot the medicine baytril killed her not with in a minute after she got the shot I called to them back asking for help she was dying right in front of me they said that they couldn't do anything for her I don't recommend going to this clinic for fish I'm now saddened by the events that took place she's makes 236 of my fish dead by veterinary care read more

As I am reading the comments regarding this vet clinic, I am a little sad. People are funny - we love our animals but we don't want to pay much for their care. I do agree that I have to take careful consideration regarding costs because they are, after all, animals not people. BUT I am a good caretaker of my furry friends and I love them dearly so I will spend more than some on their care. That said, American veterinarians have spend hundreds of thousands of dollars in college studying the anatomy and care of MANY species. They sometimes never dig themselves out of debt because most people can't afford a lot to spend on healthcare of their animals. Therefore, most vets are vets because they love animals. Most wouldn't be vets if they didn't - they obviously didn't go into the field for the money. The vets at All Creatures have been very good to me, very compassionate, and have offered solutions for my cats' maladies when I could not find solutions at another vet clinic I had been going to for years. We were lucky this was the first vet we tried after living in Montana for a day. These people are absolutely wonderful. Every one of them are warm, compassionate, and were genuinely sorry for us when our little guy had to be put down. There were even two times that we visited and they didn't charge us. Granted they just took a look at him for a few minutes then gave us another appointment for a follow-up, there are no other vets I have ever dealt with that would give patients even a moment of their time without charging in full. They made a crushing experience much easier to bear and as long as I live here I will never go anywhere else. read more
