I feel as do a few other reviewers (on Google, I think) that since I had no previous experience with a storage unit, it's hard for me to gauge its quality objectively. That said, both Chris and the other gentleman who run this place are energetic and dedicated. They explained all the details to a newbie over the phone. They rapidly processed my lease at the office when I showed up with a small sedan worth of household items. They showed me how to operate a barrel key (newbie on that as well, but easy to use). The 10 X 20 unit was immaculate. They allowed me to choose a code to access the gate (so it was easy to remember when my husband and I went in & out). We had a moving co (First Rate Movers also of Lewes -- highly recommend as well) bring a 22 foot truck worth of furniture and other items a few days later. Move-out was smooth as well. First Rate handled that for us. While Chris told me I didn't need to return the 3 keys, since he can re-use them, I returned them a few days later when I was passing by (doing what little I can to save the environment) since our moving company had kept 2 of the 3 keys that last day we used the unit. Rates are reasonable -- so far below the DC area where I was coming from that DO NOT WASTE your time getting storage facility quotes in Rockville or Bethesda. The only time I used the bathroom behind the front office (waiting for our truck to be unloaded), it was truly spotless. Convenient location if you're coming off 404 eastbound from Georgetown/Bay Bridge, and are heading to Rehoboth as was our case. We had to make about 3 trips to drop off sundry items before the moving truck, so was a great time-saver. Open enough hours (8 am - 6 pm some days; 9 am to 6 other days; and I believe they may close earlier on Sundays) for our needs. More secure feeling since there aren't folks accessing it 24/7 as is the case with other storage facilities. Not the cheapest in the area (Millsboro, for instance, is about 25% cheaper per sq. foot), but good value if you want to limit your drive time. read more
