Furthermore, he waited at the medical facility and was ready to return as soon as we were done. My mom was physically weak still, and it was important not to wait around for a ride. For our needs, he charged a flat hourly rate as we were unsure as to he length of time we required. It wad like the old days hiring a car service, he showed up at our home early, carried a tote bag for us, and was ready to go, pulling up at the exit right as we came out Overall, a wonderful experience, and I thought his fees were reasonable. I'd recommend him STRONGLY, Especially in situations when one has an appointment, or, trips for the airport. You can set them up in advance, and be assured he will arrive on time and ready to go! The mixture of cigarettes and body odor made my stomach literally turn. I have lived in NYC for 10 years and taken many different services (Dial 7's, Dial 6, Carmel, etc.) I recently moved to NJ and thought I would try out some local car services instead. I have never written a Yelp review yet - but I joined just to share my experience with others. First of all, I was traveling alone with my 18 month old and called Adam's Limo ahead to make sure they would have a carseat installed for our trip to the airport. I was going to be short on time, so I wanted to be sure I picked a car service that would have a carseat in the car ready to go. "No problem", I was told. When the car arrived at my home, the carseat was not installed anywhere near correctly and was literally flopping around in the backseat. I nicely told the driver that the seat was not installed and he proceeded to yell at me that he always has problems with Mothers complaining and in his country (Turkey) they don't use carseats and he doesn't know how to put them in. I explained that I wasn't complaining - I just want to make sure my son is safe while we are driving on I-78 to the airport. I proceeded to read the installation instructions on the carseat and corectly installed it myself. At this point, I was nervous about missing my flight, so I had no option but to go with this guy and his attitude. When we got to the airport, I asked for the charge for the carseat installation (I was told it would be all set to go when I booked the car) to be waived since it was not installed and I had to do it myself (which took 15-20 mins). Well..... this is when the driver COMPLETELY FLIPPED OUT and started cursing and screaming at me telling me that he's the driver and the manager is the one who takes care of that. So, I asked to speak with his manager. He called the manager, started SCREAMING in the phone in Turkish, and then put me on the phone with the manager. I couldn't even get two words out before the manager literally started cursing me out, screaming on the top of his lungs on the phone. I was so beside myself. I have never been spoken to like that by anyone, and I was in pure shock. At this point, the driver told me that I had to pay cash for the whole ride because I was using an American Express and they were afraid I was going to dispute the charge. His exact quote was, "If you don't pay cash right now, we are going to have a problem." His teeth were clenched and he was staring me straight in the eye. I immediately felt instantly uneasy, and scared - since I am a tiny girl and I'm traveling alone with my toddler and I was now being threatened. I explained calmly to the driver that I didn't have any cash and I had to use my card. At the same time, I opened the car door and called to the skycap to help me b/c I was so frightened of the driver. At that point, the driver took the carseat charge off of my bill and ran my American Express. As soon as I got into the airport I burst into tears and was shaking from the whole ordeal. It was so awful..... Please do not give this company your money. They are awful. ** Since writing this review I have found other reviews from other mothers with eerily similar stories.
