I sent my VP DPS-A drive in the spring of 2021 and due to COVID they had delays getting parts. I got it back in the fall of 2021. I think the work was top notch. It comes with a two year warranty. I never got any paperwork for the outdrive (warranty or break-in instructions). I called and emailed and was always told he would send it. But never got it. So now it's 2023 and it looks like they have gone out of business and have screwed people. I would give them 5 stars but took one away for never sending me the paperwork and another for going out of business and now my two year warranty is worth nada. I have found reviews from 2010 and George knew his stuff and could build drives for engines with more power than stock. So something happened with the drive rebuilding business. read more

Dead company -- do not use. Over 16 months ago, I sent him a Bravo 3 outdrive and payment in full ($5500) for a rebuild. I got nothing back except a string of lame excuses. Won't respond to written correspondence, Better Business Bureau, or anything else. When I call him, he yells at me and tells me he can't get parts because of COVID. The company is not a fraud; it provided good service for a while, but that was years ago. Now I assume the company has gone bankrupt and he sold my outdrive to pay his debts. I purchased a high-performance boat with a blown high performance Volvo outdrive. George was incredible to work with and very honest. Yes this was a $10,000 plus job, but it was done to my total satisfaction. Had trouble with local boat mechanics during the process, but George was incredibly patient. Finally took the boat to a professional boat mechanic in lake Havasu and George made everything work smoothly from then on. yup, they got my outdrive and $2000 July of 2022. excuses for months then no answer. I called the sheriff of Branson in may of '23 trying to see if it's theft, he told me at that time it wasn't considered theft. He had also received other calls with basically same issues. I dont know, sure seems like fraud/theft to me? now I see the website is gone. wonder if they're gonna change the name and do it again. DO NOT USE. I just got off the phone with the Bronson, MI police department. The last couple months they have been receiving calls almost daily on this business. George has not returned my call to his cell phone, business phone, emails, nor text messages. He has had my Bravo One outdrive since early last summer plus $5371.20 for the rebuild. Do a search, my issue is NOT unique. This guy may have been a great drive rebuilder in the past but today it appears he has stolen not only thousands from me, but has my outdrive as well. read more

I agree with the one star reviews. Same happened to me, I sent him my outdrives and paid upfront and never heard from him again until I threaten him with going to the District Attorney of Michigan which I currently did. He will call you back and tell you he is the best out there. He will promise fast turn around. Once you send him your outdrives and your money you will never see either again. He blames everything on shipping, just a scam artist telling a scam story! I told him that I already ordered every part I needed for the outdrives and he told me ya Chinese, even though they are American. He bragged to me on the phone on how he has 9 open lawsuits and only lost one so far, SMH! He is a scam, he will tell you everything you want to hear then when you tell him enough is enough I am coming to get my outdrives back, he says you can't have them back. Doing an internet search same with dozens of people. Type this business in the BBB of Michigan and see their "F" rating and see open claims with missing outdrives and missing money. For me this whole experience was a total FRAUD. Inot only did I pay over $3000 I never got my Cobra lower unit back. This included phone calls and messages saying the unit was finished and they needed $600+ more to cover final expenses and shipping. These liars ever told me the unit was shipped and that I should have received it, but when asked for the shippers name and tracking number i received the "disappeared off the face of the earth " treatment. THIS BUSINESS IS A FRAUD based on my experience. Rather than a 1 star rating I'd like to give them a 5 "brown ice cream cone" shaped emoji. read more

George at AADS is the best. I blew up my first drive pushing 650hp through a Bravo 1. He doesn't just do an OEM rebuild, he re-engineers them with better shafts and bearings. Who else warranties a high horsepower application for 24 months. I hit a sunken log and broke the drive again. George worked with the insurance adjuster and helped me get it covered 100%. George not only does an incredible job, he does it at a fair price. My first rebuild was done for about the same cost as the parts alone would have cost me. read more

They supplied a solid rebuilt OMC Cobra outdrive and arranged shipping for my drive to be returned to their facility. The drive works very well. That is where it goes south. I have never seen any of my $600 core charge (~$300 will be deducted for shipping - I get that). I can't get any calls returned and I am becoming frustrated. They do good work - but maybe they don't sweat the business end of it so much. Update: After a few months, I received my core charge. I understand they were very busy and they really are kind of an old-school operation running a bit behind technologically. I recommend them. read more
