I have had Barry's fix two unusual problems on my classic Mercedes Benz SLK. The first problem was…read morea metal snap that had torn out of the leather on the passenger seat. They were able to creatively fix the tear and reinstall the snap without removing the entire seat cover or leaving any visible stitching. That was a couple years ago. Most recently, they replaced the lining on an interior poof panel such that it looks better than it did new. Both jobs were completed quickly and at reasonable cost. Barry's staff appears to be middle aged guys who obviously have years of experience, and are adept at handling unique issues and explaining repairs to customers. So my only concern is that all their expertise will be gone when they retire.

He was absolutely correct and, for the first time in the 10 years I have owned the car, the driver's seat is a delight to sit in. The car is great. The service at headers is not great. My title was sent somewhere to an old…read moreaddress. I had to an extra $150 to have it sent to the new address. And when I called to make sure they had the address on file it wasn't updated they said they would put it in my file and hung up on me. They also said that it could be up to eight weeks and there's no time guarantee on when it could be coming. So then I asked could they give me another tag because it was obviously out of date and they said that's illegal soon now I have an illegal car that I have to drive anyway and not because I didn't pay for insurance not because I didn't do everything right but because even when I went to the DMV in Indiana they had no record of this car title being transferred or even where it came from. So now I'm just sitting waiting hoping and wondering if they sent it yet or if I'm going to have to pay another $150. Worst customer service ever.

Update to last review, I purchased a 2007 Chevy Suburban from this lot and less than 6 months later…read morethe transmission went completely out on me while on way to work. I called & spoke to the dealer Justin & he tell me that I can bring it in and he'll diagnose for free but won't do work on it. After further discussion the Owner decided to put a replacement transmission in and I had to pay $600 plus cash to pick up my truck. Fast forward i pay the money to get it back then days later there's another issue I take it back they agree to fix for free it's been 2 weeks no one calls to update me and when I call Justin acts like I don't have a reason to be calling. He eventually told me to pick up a loaner which I did and vehicle was 100% unsafe to drive brakes were to floor. I returned and have heard not a word. This place is definitely a rip off they will get you in something Quick already having the knowledge of the issues. The management team sucks you can't talk to anyone pass Justin which is unprofessiona. The only people that understands how to be professional at Header's is the friendly women at the front desk. I've always made payments on time and often times even early. They're currently holding a truck that is financed to me and I've been paying on it.

Extremely disappointed in: --The amount of time it took them…read moreto finish a simple job --The quality of the work --The ridiculous price (more than twice the estimate). --And when I arranged a time to pick up the stool on a Friday afternoon (well before their posted closing time), the shop was locked up tight when I arrived. The job was straightforward. Add new padding and reupholster a stool with a triangular seat and rounded wooden base. The new padding doesn't extend to the edges of the wooden seat. The fabric is stapled to the base, but the staples weren't all the way in. (I cut my finger when I tried to reach the stool's height control.) It took me a whopping three minutes with a tack hammer to set the staples. The base of the stool has a rubber pad. For some reason they used what seem to be basic office staples to reattach the rubber pad. Another couple of minutes with my own staple gun solved that problem. But the padding being bunched in the center and not extending to the edges of the seat make the stool unusable without putting a cushion on top. I would not trust this company with even the simplest job.

My boat had some steering problems. I took it into them. What a mistake that was. They kept it 2 weeks longer than promised and when I finally got it back, the power steering leaked badly. Took it back, the said they forgot to tighten a hose. When it got it back, the power steering reservoir was empty. Took it back a third time plus complained to the owner. They "fixed" it again. It has worked the rest of the summer but, now I always have to check the fluid level because I never know if they really fixed it. I will never go back. They lost a long time repeat customer because their mechanic apparently has no idea how to check his work.
