She worked with me and my partner for several months in a tight market where not much was coming up from week to week and she was always available to talk more about our limited options, to show us historical data of the area, and every single time we had an appointment she was always there on time and ready to keep trying to find us a great place. She never acted like we needed to move fast on a property just because of how the market was moving at the time. She's incredibly patient and places a lot of importance on finding the right fit for her clients. Needless to say, we did find a place, a beautiful Victorian condo in the Mission and we couldn't have done it without Rita. We circled this place 6 ways from Sunday and it was too high for a long time. Rita was in it to win with us and kept us in the loop about any new information she could glean about the property. With her and her recommended mortgage broker we felt very safe about going into this purchase - she's not one to gloss over the 'bad' parts of an inspection or a location. She never pressured us, never seemed interested in just making a sale. I loved working with her and have already recommended her to two other folks in the market and I recommend her to you too, yelp review-reading stranger :)

Rita was a great agent to work with. We were first-time homebuyers with an embarrassingly small…read morebudget so we asked a friend in the real estate business to recommend an agent. She suggested Rita for her candor and depth of knowledge, and Rita turned out to be a perfect fit--extremely honest and patient, despite us not having deep pockets. Rita came with stellar recommendations from her recent clients, most of whom had worked with her to purchase single-family homes in the more southern SF neighborhoods (Ingleside, Portola). That wasn't what we were looking for (we bought an apartment in the Noe/Bernal area), but Rita is equally knowledgable about all types of homes and neighborhoods. She is, in fact, an encyclopedia of SF real estate knowledge. She knows the history of every block, building and development project, and can tell you all sorts of useful secrets that agents keep out of the listings. She's also really helpful with real estate and mortgage regulations, which came in handy when we bought a TIC. We worked with Rita for nearly a year before finally purchasing our first home. For the first several months she spent hours with us every week taking us to listings we found interesting and showing us properties and neighborhoods we never would have found on our own. Before long we were familiar with every single part of the city and had a really good idea of what properties were worth, which made us confident about our purchase because we knew exactly what we wanted and how much to pay for it. When we finally got into contract, Rita did a fabulous job of keeping the process on track and looking out for our interests, often having to make up for the selling agent's lack of attention to deadlines and required documentation. Even after the close she kept in touch and gave us great recommendations for everything from insulators to lamp stores to good restaurants in our new neighborhood. If you want an agent who is brutally honest, knows everything there is to know about the business, never pushes you in a specific direction, and has a great sense of humor, Rita is your gal. We are loving our new home and couldn't have done it without her!

The recent laws passed are all prejudicial due to the governor, the mayor and the Board of Supervisors, who want to maintain their voters from renters because there's more of them than there are landlords? In reading the laws, they're very difficult to find and understand in the rules?? And then when you do find them, they're extremely prejudicial toward landlords? Landlords can't even appeal without a penalty if they do? I hate San Francisco and what it's turned into and tired of being forced to do whatever the RENT BOARD or state of California says to solve the housing crisis which they should've solved decades ago, but spent their money on stupid other things. Now they expect the landlords to pick up the bill and do things in renting their property that make them like partners with the state and the city. As a landlord, I do not work for the city or the state to solve their problems. I own my property and have very few rentals. But I can't get a straight answers from hardly anybody at the RENT BOARD? And then they always refer you to a lawyer which I know I can't afford to spend $600 to ask a question and then the answer is not forthcoming. I think the RENT BOARD needs to hire some attorneys to assist landlords and tenants so they understand the rules and the laws. So I've come to the conclusion not to RENT anymore!
