Shanghai Circus, at the Mickey Gilley Theatre. Branson, MO. Sept, 2026…read more My husband and I got VIP tickets (front row, center) for this performance, and we were both mesmerized by every single one of the many performances in the Grand Shanghai Circus. This fast-paced show featured Acrobatics and Balance (chair balancing, rolling cylinders, ...), Aerial and Strength feats (Chinese pole, duo silk aerials), Juggling and Object Manipulation (balls, jugs, and umbrellas), traditional Chinese mask-changing, hoop diving, tumbling, and more. This is a professional show with a very talented and engaging cast (I counted 12 performers), a beautiful series of stage backdrops, well-synced Chinese music, and dramatic lighting. The show is offered every day of the week. It runs about two hours, with a 15-minute intermission. Parking is free and plentiful. I would recommend it for adults and children; it's family-friendly. Tickets are currently $50 for VIP seating, $48 for all other seats, but there are bargains to be found on Groupon. Staff are the theater were friendly, and there are concessions as well as a gift shop. The only minor thing to say about the experience was that the seats became a bit uncomfortable after sitting in them for 2 hours.

I felt like we were in a Hallmark movie. There is a decent amount of parking available between two lots, and it can get kind of tight at peak times. Everyone that was working the event was so friendly. They have a ton of photo opportunities and activities going on. Everything is included in the price of admission. I found the admission to be reasonable compared to other similar events. We just got the general admission. VIP admission was available, which included everything in the general admission, plus a trip up the tower and a ride on the coaster. They have a host of carnival games to play, such as roller bowler, basketball shot, skeeball, football throw and baseball throw, minus the prizes and annoying solicitors. They also have the Hills' animals such as sheep, and alpacas that are available to view and pet. My kids really liked the jump pad, stomp lights and little ninja course. Their favorite had to be the Mega Tube Slide though. The slide was fast and surprisingly did not have a line. The events Santa's workshop was awesome. They had an area where kids could color and right letters to Santa, and then mail them. They also had a face painting area where they painted designs on kid faces for an additional fee. And, of course they had the Jolly one himself there. He was a really good Santa. And they were taking professional photos for a fee, but allowing people to also take pictures with their cell phone, which is rare for being allowed when professional pictures are being taken. You will find a nativity scene, a fire pit, and have access to the tree top sky trail while you are there. I really liked the Hayride, which took us on a ride though a portion of the drive through Trail of Lights. It was cool to see the lights and not have to drive to do it. There is also a little playground area with slides and swings that is very nice, it is right by the ninja course. My kids spent a lot of time there. The event covers a pretty large area and includes phot ops such as picture in a sleigh, large bales of hay painted as Santa and reindeer, benches and event frames. The fire pit is also picturesque and has chairs around it to heat up. We did not have VIP tickets, but my kids still wanted to ride the coaster, so we just paid for it al a carte. They loved it so much that they went twice. My eight year old went by herself and I let my 4 year old drive. The place that you purchase the tickets to ride was pretty warm. We took that as an opportunity to heat up. It is also the base of the tall tower that gives you panoramic views of the valley. I really loved this spot. It was reasonably priced, well decorated with Christmas lights and other decorations and had tons of stuff to do. We spent about a half a day here. I recommend timing your visit so you can catch the place during daylight and night so that you get the best of both worlds. I highly, highly recommend checking this place out. If I could give it two extra stars I would.

CJ Newsom, headlining the "Patsy Cline and Friends" production, delivered a truly awesome,…read moremust-see performance. It was magical listening to her revive the golden voice of Patsy Cline. You could close your eyes and easily be convinced that it was Patsy Cline, herself, singing on stage. CJ's medley of songs fostered such wonderful memories of one of the most beautiful voices of all time. Her three piece back-up band were highly renowned musicians that added another level of quality entertainment. CJ wowed the audience with several stunning outfits in between her songs. She also shared many stories and insights about Patsy's life that gave us a deeper understanding of this special singer. Additionally, CJ gave a wonderful tribute to our military veterans and to our wonderful country. It was a very touching tribute that was heartfelt and very appreciated by all in attendance. The only downside to the program was having it come to an end. "Patsy Cline and Friends" at the Americana Theater in Branson, MO, is a must-see, five-star experience. If you're ever in Branson or in the surrounding area, be sure to treat yourself to this truly, exceptional Patsy Cline performance.

Well some of the performers had good rhythm and voices, overall it was very disappointing. On the hole the choreography was not good and it seemed some of the singers didn't know the songs fully and weren't trained singers at that. We ended up leaving the intermission because we were so disappointed. I would've gave it more stars had the tickets not been close to 50 bucks. But this was worth $15 ahead tops.

We received 1 thin slice of turkey, 1 thin slice of ham, a green bean casserole (which I don't like), a scoop of what tasted like Stovetop stuffing and a cold roll. No cranberry sauce or gravy. They also served about a 1/2 cup of crumble with about a teaspoon of apple beneath. I don't like to complain especially on Christmas but I actually looked at our row half way through the play and our party was the only one still there. It's not the children's fault but the play was mediocre and hard to hear from Row O. My family all agree it was a waste of money and would not ever go back.

The food was room temperature, the chicken was so dry and tasteless. My pork was cooked into a gray 'hay-like' substance, my husband's pork was less gray with a bit of pink. The green beans were woody. The potatoes were ok, but again room temperature. I had to ask for a roll, as my plate didn't have one. This was also served room temperature, pulled out of a bag, I imagine. We had to ask for silverware, my husband had to go find napkins, as we had none. We never had any server check on us or acknowledge us once they brought the food. The servers handed out take out containers, but did not offer us one, so again, my husband had to go hunt one down. I thought the dog might eat the chicken I pulled off the bone. The cake was ok, husband liked it, I took the icing off mine as it was nasty. The show was where the two stars come in. We did enjoy the show, but it is pretty slapstick & lots of yelling. Two of the performers are entertaining, two others are 'ok' and one, I think she was maybe a fill-in that has never done this show until tonight. It seems very minimal effort has been put into making this a good show. Again, it's cute, but not great. The funniest part of the show happened to be the interaction of one the audience 'suspects' and the female deputy (She truly carries the show). We will be taking this off our list for returning. It's a shame that it has gone so far south. The venue was only half-full, so word apparently has gotten out, as it is Memorial Day weekend and should be busy!

We arrived early and found ample parking for the off season, in season they run shuttles to remote parking. We have to eat Gluten Free and even though we were told that was not a problem. No one seemed to know or care what that is. Everyone else was served and wife and I sat there until I asked a cast member who told me to have a seat but did nothing to remedy the situation. I was finally able to flag down help who was serving another couple and we were brought vegetarian meals! So much for service! We finally got a side of pork and were able to enjoy the meal. The cast seemed focused on the play but not helping guests. We sat next to a couple at another event who had had similar no service experiences on a different night. Not awful but certainly needs some help and some training. I am usually very generous with the praise especially for food service.
