I called some number I found online and left a message about a ride and someone called me back fairly quickly to schedule a pick up. The ride was short and expensive (no meter - negotiate in advance!) but it got us where we needed to go. On the tail end - late night when we needed a cab back to the hotel - the response was a bit delayed with apologies, but they were able to call me when the cab was outside our restaurant and our ride home was quick and much less expensive. It's a small operation that's not as easy to deal with as say a larger city cab fleet, but it seems to be very reliable and A-OK as an only option for safe transport in Hood River. His cars are very clean, he was professional, knowledgeable of the area, and shared about local spots / facts with us during our rides. His online booking system is convenient and easy to use. It was helpful to have an email and text to confirm our reservation to be sure it went through correctly, especially when I was booking for others. He also responded to text messages in a reasonable timeframe. Highly recommended if you do not have a rental car, or need a safe and smooth ride to PDX or around town. Then after unanswered calls, voicemails, and text messages over that six month period; Matt self determined it was not a good fit for either of us and cancelled 18 days before the pickup date through an automated email. He also wanted to take fares in between drop offs even though the service stated "exclusive use of vehicle" and we were paying him by the hour. The service is not cheap. On our return flight into Portland they were a complete no show and blamed us, the customer. Due to the first mishap I had double checked that they had our return flight information correct and repeated to her because we live in Washington. She said it was confirmed as it was going to be a very late arrival it was important to make sure a driver was available. When we called the company because no car was waiting for us they were less than helpful and suddenly our reservation was never made. Blame a repeat customer is not a good way to do business. If I could give them no stars I would. Worst reserved car service used ever. Brad from Lucky limo reached out and took full responsibility for the communication errors that resulted in the less than good service. His actions and corrections made to our account shows he does care about his customers and the car services provided. David arrived early for our drive to the Portland Motor Speedway lights on Dec. 14th. and was very professional and a gentleman. He was dressed in a black suit with a red tie. He kept Christmas music playing throughout our trip of the lights. On the way, there was an accident on the freeway, but he got us around it with shortcuts. Water was provided on the coach. I would use them again.
