You guys, it's Stevenson. If you're not aware of the fact that the trains run through here you are woefully unaware of your own surroundings. The trains are not going to stop just because some Karen didn't think to do her research beforehand and bring earplugs or a white noise machine (they DO warn you about the noise, by the way.) With that being said - this resort is hands down one of the most beautiful experiences to be had in the Columbia River Gorge. My husband and I are currently staying in the Osprey Perch Treehouse and the experience is nothing short of magical- the surroundings are breathtaking, the local towns are charming and fun - the treehouse itself is appointed with top notch linens, coffee, towels - and is a wonderful experience we will remember for a lifetime. If you can emotionally and mentally handle basic day-to-day noise that comes along with being a part of a small Pacific Northwest town, then you will have the vacation of a lifetime staying here.

It's not really a great place to stay and chill all day long. It's right next to the Hood River Bridge (although it's $2 to get across then another $2 to return). We were in site 6 and want to know what my view was? TRAFFIC, oh, and a beautiful gas station. I had to laugh. I picked this place because it was near a lot and it received pretty good reviews and honestly, the breweries were closed in Hood River due to COVID so technically could have bypassed this one. Speaking of COVID, the guy in the office nor the 2 customers inside wore masks. That did not make me happy. Please wear a mask! We do it for you, please do it for us. Basically, your campsite choices, if you have an RV, are traffic noise or train noise. Honestly, I would have preferred train noise. There was a spot open the entire time I was there and I asked if I could have it and was told no. Meh! I really didn't pay much since I received a discount with Good Sam membership. I paid under $40. so that's a plus. I guess I need to say the good because I have been cranky...blame it on the traffic noise. ;) - The place is clean. - You're supposed to have wifi access although I was never able to connect. - We had a decent size grass area with a picnic table. Considering the one next to us (#7?) didn't have any grass, this was a blessing. - We didn't have a dog but saw that they had a good size dog area. If you are tent camping they have a nice area that's under a bunch of trees. Granted, you are right next to the tent area. It looked so serene. Honestly, I told my husband that we should just bring our chairs and sleep there. Really, our site wasn't as noisy if we had our air conditioner on all night. ;) In the tent grass area there is a horseshoe pit. Yes, I played and wasn't that terrible. Just try and get deeper into the park and not on the street near the entrance. It will probably make a difference.

They helped with some wifi issues, brought me more detergent, and I even got the TV figured out this time. I wish Oregon would repave I84 to cut traffic noise, but then this place would be too perfect, I guess. May try a new rental with more of a water view next time. But if you want to be able to walk out and be at a great restaurant or brewery on 2 minutes, they can recommend a spot. Place was clean and tidy when I arrived. I'll rent with them again.

The stairs were kinda intimidating and that wasn't really apparent from the video or pics but once we got over that, the rest of the house was great - amazing panoramic views, and it comes with A/C that worked really well. The garbage disposal was broken but no biggie... and the house was pretty clean. Overall pretty happy with it and I would stay at least at this particular house again in a heartbeat!
