I attended one of the adoption events, and I was struck by how much care and attention they give to every rabbit in their care. They take the time to ensure each rescue is healthy, comfortable, and ready for a forever home. What really stood out to me was how seriously they took the bonding process when I was looking for a partner for my year old rescue, Milo. One day while volunteering, there was a new female bunny named Gracie that I hadn't met yet -- she had been rescued from a terrible, terrible situation. Once we knew Milo and Gracie were a potential match, the rescue provided me with everything I needed--litter box, carry case, and lots of advice for bonding. Volunteers were available by text and email whenever I had questions, making the process so much easier. Within less than a week (!!), Milo and Gracie, (now Roo) were inseparable. Bonding these two has been so beyond heartwarming and watching both bunnies get their second chance at life together, is just - the best. I'm so grateful to the rescue for their support and guidance. Roo is such a happy girl and to know what she had endured before being rescued, makes this so much sweeter. If you're looking for a rabbit to adopt or just want to support a great cause, I highly recommend All About Rabbit Rescue. They truly care about their animals, and they provide such great support to adopters and volunteers.

Early 2020, I was looking for a partner for my Netherland dwarf, Toffee, when I stumbled across All About Rabbits Rescue. I went to their website, read all the requirements and filled in an application. I had a chance to read reviews about this rescue prior to applying, however I didn't take them at face value until meeting the actual people behind it. And boy was I pleasantly surprised! From day 1, I dealt with Vivian, who was very professional, knowledgeable and eager to answer all my questions. She explained the adoption process point by point, and even taught me a lot of info I didn't know about rabbits, and how to properly keep them healthy and happy, while making my life easier (cleaning/ bunny proofing / setup suggestions, etc.). By the time the speed date came, I had 0 doubts about adding another bunny to our family. Her associate Wendy, the matchmaker, assisted the speed date as well, and made sure that Toffee got his perfect partner, lovely Maya, who caught my eye from the moment I saw her. It was a match made in heaven, and the 2 have been inseparable ever since. Both these wonderful ladies helped me through the bonding process, as well as post adoption, so it was as easy as it could possibly be. Overall, I am beyond thrilled I didn't listen to the reviews and I got a chance to meet the volunteers at AARR in person. I even occasionally help out with adoption events and rescues. I can wholeheartedly say all of their associates, not only care about the rabbits, but LOVE them, and go above and beyond to ensure they are taken off the streets or from abusing or hoarding situations, that the rabbits are healthy, happy, and go to homes where they will be treated like family members, not just pets. I would also like to address some of the previous reviews, based on my overall 3 year interaction with this rescue, since I'm not sure AARR does that. 1. AARR is OVERLOADED with bunnies, 90% of the time. Rabbits are not adopted fast enough as they get surrendered or taken in by the rescue. If you are looking to rehome/surrender your bunny, it will take a while before getting a positive answer. This is not a singular situation, ALL NYC rescues are close to capacity if not well above it. Regardless of your reasons to surrender your bunny, you need to understand the reality of rabbit rescue and not expect the impossible. 2. AARR encourages rabbit adoption, not breeding, and definitely not buying your rabbit. That is a conscious decision people need to take responsibility for, not blame rescues when they can't take their rabbits. Again, this is a reaction from most if not ALL rescues, rabbit or any other animal. 3. In an email or text, the tone can be very easily misconstrued. Face to face are even better than phone calls. With me everyone has been courteous and polite, and I have no negative experiences. Also remember everyone can have a bad day, and be kind and understanding. Note that this rescue has been in "business" for more than 10 years now, and dealing with certain types of people can be more than exhausting and draining. So whatever the tone you may perceive, it's NOT PERSONAL. 4. In order to fully and accurately assess a potential adopter, even foster, questions will need to be asked, some more personal than others. If it's something you truly don't want to disclose, just say it's too personal and move on. As an AARR adopter, I absolutely found the whole process non intrusive, and had I been asked more delicate questions, I would have truthfully answered as I have nothing to hide (I'm not saying or implying the people here did!). I understand the reason behind asking and I am fine with it. 5. This is a RABBIT rescue, not a customer service business. The animal welfare takes precedent to hurt feelings. And don't forget they are all humans, and they all have good days and bad days. So don't let one interaction ruin the chance of finding an ideal partner for your bunny, or simply changing the life of a rabbit in their care. Also please remember all AARR are VOLUNTEERS; they don't get paid, and they all assist in the rescue of these wonderful animals ON TOP of their regular 9 to 5 jobs. This means that sometimes stress levels can be pretty high. 6. AARR runs SOLELY on donations. Without their donors' help, the rescue wouldn't be able to take a single animal off the streets. So no matter how bad your experience with the rescue was, don't take away all the good that it does by asking other not to support it financially. They can ask for donations, but in the end, if you don't want to contribute, they will not force you! In conclusion, AARR is really not the devil as the other reviews make it out to be. My experience was a very positive one, and I'm sure yours can be too, if you give them a chance! Thank you for reading all the way to the end, Alex, Maya & Toffee

Rabbit formerly known as Snowflake adopted from All About Rabbits Rescue

I adopted a rabbit from All About Rabbit Rescue in Jan 2022 and could not be happier with the process. I had a rabbit with health issues and wanted to find a rabbit to bond her with, on top of this it was going to be my first time bonding rabbits. I had 10000 questions and despite how busy they were they helped me every step of the way. The rabbit I adopted (formerly known as Snowflake) came to me from All About Rabbits Rescue in amazing health and already impressively well socialized, all signs he was really well cared for during his time there. Although I adopted over a year ago, I continue to hear from the rescue and know they are still happy to help with any issues and questions I have, which is so greatly appreciated. They so clearly care about the rabbits in their care and are passionate about helping as many as they can, to not only get adopted but go on to continue living great lives in homes. I am so grateful and definitely recommend adopting from All About Rabbits Rescue!

AARR is a wonderful rescue. I adopted two buns from them, first bun in 2019 and second in 2022. Vivian, the founder, Wendy and the entire team are professional and knowledgeable about bunnies and they ensure the buns are going to safe forever homes with people who actually understand the rabbit care. The AARR team was always very supportive, especially during my heartbreak of losing my first bunny. I since have become a volunteer at AARR and I love it. All volunteers and rescue workers are kind and amazing people that help the buns in need.

They gave me an estimate. I explained what I wanted and what I didn't want done. They gave me a surgery date for a week later. The next day that I toook my dog, Kai, they charged us for the consult and said they would get back to us with a quote and a surgery date. The day of my daughters dogs surgery went well. He had a huge skin tag on his back paw that was starting to impede his walking. He had it done. We picked him up and he's been great. My daughter paid the bill and when I looked they charged her for the things I said we didn't want. Then a week later I reached out by text asking about my dogs quote and a refund for the amount that shouldn't have been charged on my daughters dog. This went on every week to every two weeks of the back and forth. Finally in December I said that My dogs cyst is getting too big and I need to know if they are gonna do it and when were they going to refund my daughter. They responded that his cyst got too big now. Which it wasn't when I originally took him. Ok fine. I get that but why do I have to wait for a refund for so long. It's gonna be a year now and still no refund. I have the texts as well as the copy of the bill that she was overcharged. I am thankful for what they did to Thor because he can finally walk without blessing but the rest is just so unprofessional and illegal to hold money that isn't theirs.

Cost: Open Squash FiDi has a special program for newcomers. If you are interested in playing the sport, Open Squash will make it happen. Open Squash FiDi has the best coaches. Here are some of the coaches I have taken lessons from. Amr: Amr is known for his precision; he can direct the ball to any spot on the court he desires. His remarkable skills extend beyond the game, as he can shape any person into the squash player they aspire to be. He focuses on teaching you how to utilize your strengths while simultaneously transforming your weaknesses into strengths. As the former Egyptian National Coach from 2017 to 2023, Amr introduced Egyptian training methods to Open Squash. I have witnessed significant improvements in our juniors' squash skills under his guidance. More importantly, Amr also plays a vital role in helping juniors build their character. I recall an instance when a younger player, around 13 or 14 years old, was practicing with two older juniors, aged around 17 or 18. She appeared a bit frustrated during the drill. As soon as she stepped off the court, Amr praised her swing and noted some positive changes she had made. That encouragement brought a big smile to her face. She is not only learning how to play squash from Amr but also how to care for others, thanks to his example.  Amr is more than just a fantastic coach; he is an exceptional person, living up to his nickname, "Baby Legend." Adel: Adel is like "a good friend you can always count on," especially when it comes to women playing squash. She has a deep understanding of women's bodies and the changes they go through over time, such as during their menstrual cycle, childbirth, and aging. Adel is dedicated to helping women excel at squash by offering modified training and routines that strengthen their skills. Her coaching abilities extend beyond just women; I often see her interacting with junior players, adjusting their form, and creating an environment where they can genuinely enjoy the game. I also observe her training male players to help them achieve their goals in her clinics. Adel believes that everyone has their unique path, and she is committed to helping each individual become the best squash player they can be. Ciara: Ciara is the women's community manager who is dedicated to increasing access for women in squash. She often gathers ideas from members and designs various programs such as "Queen of the Courts" and "Women Only Camp." Her efforts make many women feel comfortable participating in Open Squash. Ciara is an energetic, fun, and compassionate coach, exceptionally skilled at working with young children. I often see kids gathering around her, hugging her, and treating her like a big Barbie doll. Despite the affection they show, the kids also respect her authority. On one occasion, I witnessed her discipline a child, calmly explaining the correct behavior. Her firm yet kind approach makes her the perfect coach for all young kids. Habiba: Habiba is known as the "Torture Queen." She pushes us to our limits during training sessions, leaving our bodies exhausted, yet we can't help but want to return for more. As our 3.0 team coach, she is dedicated to improving the squash skills of all team members. She frequently discusses the adjustments she plans to make and the areas she wants us to focus on, ensuring that we maximize our learning experience. One time, I received a text message from her at 10 PM asking for input on the proper training content for us. Yes, at 10 PM, she was still thinking about how to help her students. Talk about dedication! A former World Junior Champion, Habiba has brought her training methods from Egypt to our program. She trains multiple junior players and is especially recognized for teaching deceptive plays and advanced squash techniques. She closely monitors all her juniors and once told me that if they do not practice and follow the assignments, she will drop them from her program. She exemplifies "tough love." Despite the intensity of her training, both adults and juniors find her incredibly popular. I often see her joking with adult members while juniors eagerly gather around her. Everyone can feel her sincerity and genuine care for our improvement. We all appreciate her "torture" and "tough love". Open Squash FiDi has invited top college coaches and players, including Nouran Gohar, Gina Kennedy, Victor Crouin, and Hannah Craig, to host summer camps. In addition to the kids' camps, Open Squash FiDi also offers adult camps with top pros as well as an all-women's camp. If you are thinking of practicing a sport, squash is a great choice, and Open Squash FiDi is the best place to start. If you have already played squash, Open Squash FiDi can be your new home.
