I did alot of research on where I should choose to go. I only had time for one stop and Frans specializes in quilting fabrics so that's what I chose. I was very happy when I walked through those doors!!! Ladies it's a real deal quilt shop. I'm visiting around September 12, 2025 and the selection of fabrics was amazing! She had a wonderful and large selection of Free Spirit and Tula Pink, Riley Blake, Robert Koffman, all the designers you're looking for. She also had a very large selection of more budget friendly fabrics, precuts and LOTS of panels. I bought 3 panels myself. There's also a section dedicated to ocean theme fabrics so if your on vacation at the beach and want something beachy this is the place to go. They had all your supplies, threads, batting, all your sewing needs! I was talking to a local in the store and she said it'it's the best fabric shop around. Also important, the staff was AMAZING!! I brought my 2 year old daughter who now hates to ride in a stroller so the lady working there (Fran maybe?) pushed her around the store and taught her colors so I could shop!! Nobody does things like that anymore! I just thought it was super nice and I was definitely able to spend more money because I got to browse uninterrupted! Whatever quilts I make with what I purchased will always be remembered! This store is worth driving for, so if your anywhere near Wilmington (I don't know Wilmington well, but the area was very nice and clean and not extremely busy) please stop by Frans! Went in to meet the man who services the machines. After bragging about how good he was and how…read moremuch experience he had we agreed to bring my three machines to him for service. We explained to him that we were bringing them up to be worked on while we were out of town. I run a business off these machines so I needed them serviced while I wasn't using them. We told him that one machine was having a specific issue and it might need parts so I wanted it looked at right away so if parts were needed they would be in and serviced before we got back. He assured us they would be done and he would hold them in the shed until we came back for them. We told him the exact day we would pick them up. This facility is an hour and a half from our home. We drove up on the scheduled day. When we arrived he told us he had not even looked at them. He had gotten in so many machines while we were away that needed to be taken care of. Said he was just too busy to get to them and since we weren't waiting for them it wasn't an issue. Other people had a gun to his head. I reminded him that when we brought them in he had no other machines to service. He said yes but that then all sorts of things stared to happen. Needless to say we are completely disappointed in this not only did he lie to us about what he would do he proceeded to tell us he had a vacation opportunity come up so he was leaving town and could not guarantee when he could get them done for us. That he could possibly die tomorrow from all the stress. At that point my husband told him he was just being an ass and I told them we were taking our machines and bringing them to a different service location. I would never recommend this facility to anyone. When he had over three weeks to work on our machines and choose not to and proceed to say he was going fishing later. Not the work ethic or trust I would refer anyone too. Deeply, deeply disappointed
