He put the lawn in too late in the season (November) and he never sent his crew back to rake up the straw (hay). The straw was compressed by the snows of the winter and when spring came, only patches of the lawn came up. The rest of the grass was choked underneath the masses of hay which were never removed. My advice is to get a guaranteed written time line with this landscaper, and details on all of the plantings he will put in, otherwise he takes it upon himself to plant alot of the more inexpensive perennials or whatever is left over at the end of the season as was my case.
