for: Exquisite Pool and Spa by: M. J. McIsaac (homeowner)…read moreMount Dora, FL 32757 February 10, 2021 To whom it may concern: It is my pleasure to write this unsolicited letter of recommendation on behalf of Exquisite Pool and Spa. They were contracted by me to construct an in-the-ground, fiberglass pool. I had no prior relationship with Exquisite and found them only after an extensive internet search and company evaluation. The scope of the project involved site preparation, pool installation, electrical and plumbing along with finish cement work and aluminum cage. The project took approximately 10 weeks once permits were obtained and involved 3 work crews along with individual specialists. The total quoted estimate was just over $40,000.00 and was met without complication. While major construction projects are inherently stressful for almost any homeowner, especially during a time of pandemic, Exquisite made the process as painless as possible. Though there may have been a couple of unforeseen hiccups, both my wife and I are thrilled with the results. Specifically, I would give Exquisite top marks in the following areas: 1. Quality of work performed. The quality of work done was consistently first rate. The subcontractors Exquisite used were knowledgeable, skilled, and competent in their respective trades. They were conscientious about following project specifications. 2. Quality of work crews. The Exquisite crews involved were professional, reliable, courteous, and respectful of our property and privacy. They had an old school work ethic of good work habits, strong safety orientation, and emphasized getting the job done right rather than doing it fast. Their pride in their work was always evident. They tidied up at the end of each workday. 3. Project management and coordination. Our project manager Marty, was knowledgeable about all aspects of our project, and was able to plan, coordinate and manage the activities of different work crews effectively. He remained closely involved in overseeing the project from start to finish. Finally, our equipment instructor Colt, was able to teach us all aspects of filter / pump operation. What appeared daunting became easy with his expert guidance. Because of this and other reasons too numerous to list, I recommend Exquisite Pools and Spa WITHOUT RESERVATION. Best Regards, Martin McIsaac

It's taken me 5 yrs to post this review and obviously I should have posted it a long time ago. We…read moreordered plantation shutters for our windows and for a 3-door slider door for the patio. First, they didn't get our order correct. We ordered the "Hidden Tilt" and that's not what we received. We were told that's not what we ordered but we were able to prove we did with a copy of our order so we were reimbursed for that issue. They offered to not install and take them back to a shop to fix but after waiting weeks for delivery we decided to just keep what they delivered. The shutters for the windows were great. No complaints. My real complaint is with the shutters for the sliders. We have 3 wide glass door sliders and the company apparently doesn't know how to install them. The shutters are very heavy and need to be reinforced in the middle, which they didn't do so not only does our middle shutter sit0020on the floor, it's nearly impossible to slide. Because the top is slightly deflected or bowed in the middle, the two side shutters do not sit properly either. We have big daylight gaps in parts and overlap in other parts. They had to install the side frames out of plumb by 2 inches at the bottom than the top so daylight would not show to compensate for the bowed middle. After the first attempt at installation, they were horrendous and the installer said that was the best he could do. Quickly after the installation we called the company and complained. They sent the same installer again and he made them a little better but said we had to decide which horrible look we wanted and keep it that way. But the dragging on the floor panels got worse over time. My husband has been adjusting them as much as he can, which by the way the installer told us we would need to do. We've had it that way for almost 5 years and I just can't stand looking at it and not being able to use anymore. A few months ago, my husband called and asked about getting them fixed. We were told that since it's been 5 years it would cost $75 to have someone come and just look at them and then $75 per hour if we had them worked on. My husband pushed back but was told by the company that they've installed many of them in the last 5 years without any complaints. I find that hard to believe or they've actually learned how to install them in those past 5 years. Either way, they should at least send someone out to look at them and correct since they should be able to see in our record that we weren't happy. In my opinion these shouldn't be sold if they can't be installed properly so my warning is to not order these blinds from this company for wide slider plantation style shutters.
