And looking down the section that it is located doesn't look like there is much there but there is. When I walked in I was stunned at the lovely things you can buy there and such reasonable prices! There are about 20 traders & stalls here offering antiques and crafts; textiles, art deco jewellery, glass, china, miniatures and so much more. I especially liked 3D greeting cards, depicting miniature worlds produced by Karrie Barron cards. At another stall, they sell some stunning miniature boxes. I especially loved the art deco and Victorian style jewellery - and will go back to buy!! There are some lovely porcelain pieces for avid collectors. It is such a hidden place that you can easily miss it. I was really happy I found this place - it's such a collector's heaven and the prices are so much better than what you would pay in Portobello market or elsewhere in London. Also all the stallholders are so friendly and helpful! This is one of those secret London attractions that you have to discover for yourself and I highly recommend you do! It's amazing!

Not only is it overflowing with all kinds of imaginative and creative toys and games, the staff and owner give the kind of service that box stores and even large department stores just do not give anymore. Run, don't walk to shop here. It is so worth it. My husband and I went in seeking a game that our daughter could not find that is from Denmark that our granddaughter had played and loved. While the store owner did not have it, she happened to be going to Denmark. On her own time, she made a special effort to find it, and bring it back in time for us to get to our granddaughter by Christmas. When you find that kind of dedication to a child's joy, it tells you a lot about what a great place it is to shop.

She loves everything about the place - great selection of JellyCats, super toddler toys and even some educational gifts for my older niece. Excellent inventory and they are always bringing in new toys, so it never gets old. The current owner Jenny is really wonderful. My daughter was playing with a Peppa Pig backpack but it was a bit too big for her, so Jenny got her a Peppa Pig handbag she wears the whole time now. She's great; really cares about the kids and the parents. I absolutely love Happy Returns!!

I escaped with a lovely scarf and tore myself away from some amazing shoes that were half a size too large for me. A real steal of a shop with Chanel, Prada, Miu Miu and some higher-end high street...and definitely not as packed with weary-looking rich kids like some of the other vintage giants around Camden/Covent Garden. Highly, highly recommended. I took a star off mainly due to the fact that there were toddlers crawling all up in some amazing leather bags. Mental thoughts included, do NOT puke/poo/pee (like that alliteration action?) on that, thanks.

I so enjoyed my conversation with them regarding the history of different design houses, and where these houses are now under the current design teams. Be sure that you visit both the top and bottom floors. I found that the best items seem to be on the top floor, but the bottom floor is worth the trip, especially if you have any children in your life who you might like to gift some lovely designer pieces. Unfortunately, I didn't walk away with anything during my first visit, but I did find a gorgeous Chanel jacket that was priced fantastically (it was just not in my size), and an MIH shearling jacket that I may have to go back for that was also priced reasonably, as well as a cute little Burberry coat in the children's section that was an absolute steal. If you become a regular customer, I was informed that then they will offer to add you to their email list to be alerted when special pieces in your size come in--they do narrow it down to meet your specifications (size, designer, etc). Currently, I was told that the list is about 1000 persons long, and that pieces fly out the door, so it is best to visit often and not wait for the email notifications in any case.

If you're like me and have visited TJ Maxx stores in the US, you probably think the same as me. Higher prices and lower qaulity of goods. From my understanding, the reason that they are called TK Maxx in the UK and not TJ Maxx as in the US, is to do with another UK store chain called TJ Hughes. This store also sells discounted goods, and think the name change was to avoid confusion. This particular TK Maxx store does sometimes have a bargain though, which is why I go in when I'm passing. It is also one of the quieter branches too. The staock is also kept tidy and easy to navigate. It is much smaller though than the other nearest branch on Kensington High Street. The biggest difference between TJ Maxx in the US and TK Maxx in the UK, is I've found clothes I purchased 2 years ago from the US with the price tags still attached, because it was such a bargain! No such experience from the UK TK Maxx experience.

I have known the TJ Maxx stores in the US and sadly the UK TK counterparts are nowhere near as good. The staff in the stores all seem to be somewhat undertrained and very passive towards their interaction with customers throughout most of UK stores. Nothing offensive from them, but definitely not a world beating service here. The main gripe I have about the TK stores are the prices. Generally in the USA. I've seen half decent stuff in the stores, and the prices make my eyes bug out with how low they are. It's pretty easy to fast decisions on close when they are so cheap that you don't have to make decisions about them. In the UK stores. However, I don't really see that much of a discount, certainly not below what you could actually get in a sale at a place like Selfridge's, for instance. So then. Why do I bother coming here? Well it seems to be the only place that I can get men's Zirh products from in the UK. And you know what? They actually do discount them pretty well. So I keep coming back and back and back in the hope that they have some of my precious Zirh!
