MY SIBERIAN HUSKY DIED WHILE STAYING AT THIS THIS BOARDING FACILITY!! DO NOT BOARD YOUR PET HERE!!…read moreI boarded my two dogs here over the Labor Day weekend in the 11x13 AC luxury kennel. I thought my dogs would be well taken care of as it appeared to be a very nice boarding facility. I received a call on Monday, Labor Day that my dog was having a seizure. My dog has no history of seizures and was perfectly fine when I dropped her off. The staff provided very little information and kept informing me that they didn't know what happened and that they weren't a vet and couldn't answer any of my questions. So I asked them to send me a photo/video of my pet as I was out of town and couldn't figure out what was happening. An hour later they send me a photo after I called several times to get an update. The picture, which they said was taken just before they took her to the emergency hospital in Colorado Springs, shows a picture of my dog clearly already dead. They later inform me that my pets were not in the room I reserved for them and instead they were in the 4x7 cramped kennel in a room full of other animals. This was not my reservation and not what I agreed to. Apparently, the staff took it upon themselves to move my pets to a 4x7 kennel instead of what I had reserved. There was no communication from the staff the entire weekend, they did not call me to let me know there was an issue with my dogs or that they were going to need to move them to a smaller less accommodating area or that they were going to be making changes and deriving from the boarding arrangements I thought I had agreed to. They did this so they could strap the water bowl to the door due to their LIMITED HOURS of leaving pets alone on the weekends and because they knew they wouldn't be there, wouldn't be checking over the holiday weekend. Over labor day weekend they were left alone for 3 consecutive 17 hour periods over the 3 day weekend, leaving them from 3:45p until 9am the next day. There was only 1 water can strapped to the door not 2 due to there being 2 dogs. They want you to think your pets are enjoying the luxury boarding they advertise when in fact both my dogs are sharing a cramped 4x7 stall and did all this without notifying me or asking me if it was okay. We were told they would be in a "luxury room" with "AC" that I feel is used as a marketing tactic to lure you in but they take it upon themselves to change your boarding reservation without your knowledge or consent. The kennel they placed them in also allowed them to see other smaller dogs located across the room, further adding to my husky's anxiety! Per necropsy report performed by a pathologist at CSU, my animal was observed and had very noticeable signs of dehydration due to her severely sunken eyes into the back of their sockets! Lack of access to water, coupled with being in a cramped space in a stressful environment surrounded by other dogs during a heat wave ultimately lead to my dog overheating and having a heat stroke/seizure. I share this story because I don't want the same thing to happen to someone else or their defenseless pet. After this experience I have lost all trust in places like this. The owners of this facility were not present when I came to pick up my other dog and have not offered condolences or an apology regarding my loss. They simply just called me and left a vm to find out information from the necropsy so they could fill out a report for their records. I feel if I had not boarded my dog here that she would still be alive today. I am absolutely devastated that my best friend, companion and sweet girl Mya of 15 years was treated this way and passed away before I could get home to comfort her and say our goodbyes and I will have to live with this thought the rest of my life. She was made to suffer in her last moments by this boarding facility's neglect and cruelty of not providing her with the basic necessities required to keep her alive and I honestly don't know how the people who continue to own and work at this facility can sleep at night, because I sure don't.

My dog was bit on a Thursday, I received a call letting me know it was a small scratch, it was NOT a small scratch. I called Friday and was told a manager would call me back. They did not. Today Monday, my dog is swollen, even while we cleaned the wound daily he was infected. I called again, finally the manager speaks with me. Does not apologize, just agrees that the bite was not a small scratch. I asked for the dog that bit my dogs date of vaccination, the manager Erin, did not want to provide I am now at the vet who asked for the exact same thing, I let him know they wouldn't provide me with this information. He called Erin and she once again refused to provide the date of vaccination. The vet is now calling Animal Control so this information can be released. I am so disappointed with the way they have handled this situation. A daycare is supposed to take care of pets not neglect them. !!!!DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE!!!!

Do NOT take your dogs to country canine resort. I've had my dogs there a few times in the last…read morecouple months and I finally decided I'm not bringing them back. First I paid extra for the cabin because they advertise that you can keep an eye on your pet. That's not true though, the cameras are only up from 10-2pm. Second, my puppy was bitten in the ear while we were gone and I was only told about it upon pickup- it had happened a full week earlier. He still has a scar from it. They leave at 5-6pm, and don't come back until the following morning at about 7am. (I was told this by a staff member.) Which means nobody is there to let the dogs out to potty. My dogs shredded one of their beds, which is something they never do, and the other was covered in urine. I am having to retrain my younger dog because now he thinks he can pee on his bed at night instead of asking to be let out. He's 18 months and has been completely potty trained for over a year. I'm so disappointed and frustrated in their lack of care. It was hard enough to leave them but I thought I'd chosen a place that would genuinely care for my dogs. When I told them I wasn't happy with these issues, repeatedly, they just nodded and moved on to the next person there. I feel duped and like my dogs were neglected. How can a professional pet care center leave dogs in a kennel for 13+ hours?! I've worked in pet care for a fantastic company and this would NEVER have happened there, in a million years. Very disappointing. I would stay away!
