Karen, at ice wind Shibas aka Harmony Kennels Aka IceWind Golden retrievers…read more Likes taking advantage of Autistic 18 years olds. Karen hired my child for 16$ an hour cash pay to clean out the kennels. Then randomly fired my child, saying she hired someone else with "reliable transportation" my child's father was driving them both days a week and Karen knew that's upon hire. When my child asked about pay for the 4 hours Karen told my child they dont pay for training. At No point did Karen discuss non payment for training prior to this, my child thought they had the job as Karen actually Hired them, my child didn't think this was unpaid training. My bothers called to get Karen to Honor the 16$ an hour pay that Karen owe my Autistic teen. And she said she'd only pay 10$ if this is how Karen treats people imagine how she treats the dogs. Let Karen know how you feel about talking advantage of Autistic teenagers and her dishonesty.

Honestly, I am stunned by the poor reviews. We had nothing but an amazing experience with Karen and…read moreIcewind Shibas. I brought my Fiancé to Icewind as a surprise for his birthday so that we could check out the facilities and make sure that we were comfortable getting a dog from them. The facilities are tremendous - she has so much room for the pups to run around. Karen really seems to care about the pups and is very knowledgeable. It is true that she is not the most tech savvy person, so I wouldn't expect videos or photos. But, we asked to see the puppy that we were thinking of getting during our visit and she politely declined saying that she was unable to because he didn't have all of his shots yet. We got Scout about four months ago and we are so happy with him. Shibas typically are not affectionate dogs, which we were concerned about but Karen mentioned that her Shibas cuddle. Scout does NOT disappoint - his is a lovebug and loves to be held! She also mentioned the average litter size in general for Shiba Inus is ~3 but her litter size is typically around 4-5. This is totally speculation, but I feel like these are just indicative of pups being happy on how they have been bred and great breeding conditions. Everyone comments on how beautiful Scout is and how great his coat looks. We stuck with Karen's recommendations for a raw food diet - she is for sure passionate about this point but she did give us instructions for transitioning him off of raw food if we wanted to. I never once felt like she thought we were going to take poor care of our pup or like she was lecturing us. She is just a very passionate person about her pups' health. Scout came with all of his papers and had zero health issues when we took him to the vet. We really enjoyed our interactions and would definitely consider getting another pup from here. In terms of the Cream colored Shiba comment below, I would refer to the following article to learn a little more about it as I'm not sure that they are the albino equivalent (https://myfirstshiba.com/cream-shiba-inu/).

The best training experience EVER. My dog is a 5 year old…read moreextremely stubborn, aggressive to people around, people in my house, dogs around, dogs 15 feet away. My dog would ferociously lunge, bark, foam at the mouth at anything anyone on a leash and off. It was very sad and heart breaking to me as my dog is my entire life. I took my dog Orson to Brady, and the results are truly jaw dropping. My dog on the right side of the image, can walk around people dogs without reaction or even caring. Orsons confidence is day and night difference. In the picture below he met the dog on the left 3 minutes prior to this picture and just then he was sitting right next to her relaxed as could be. 1 billion perfect recommend Brady. My dog was very well taken care of, in a very safe, loving comfortable environment and learned so much, as did I. My dog isn't " broken", or scared like ive seen with other trainers. That has always been a fear. Brady builds your dogs confidence up and it shows and the positive environment is created around them. Thank you so much! Dreams came true!

This email sent to Brady and Kelsi sums up our experience!…read more Hi Kelsi/Brady, As you know, we picked Brody up yesterday. We were all pretty anxious; worried about how everything would go once we returned home with him. The trainer Kylie, who met with us and handled the lesson wAs so thorough; answering all of our questions - some asked more than once- and teaching us what to do once we left with Brody. She really took her time with us, was patient and explained everything so well! Please extend our gratitude to her. Yesterday was a big day for all of us so we really just worked on basic commands with his prong collar and or his mini educator in our back yard. The kids and I took turns doing some short training sessions. He did really well and the anxiety over being able to create carryover from your facility to home started to lift. Today, my daughter and I took him for a walk through our town's "main street". The town is a bustling area; traffic, shopping, people on bikes, buses, mail men etc. We again used the prong collar and the mini educator. He was nothing short of a ROCK STAR! I can't even believe this is the same dog we dropped off to you guys. He walked beautifully... healing the whole way with little direction! At one point, I intentionally walked by a construction site that was fenced off and the fence had mesh on it. There were construction men walking right on the other side of the fence..... and SURPRISE.... Not a single reaction from Brody... he didn't even require redirection! After that we chose a bench in the busiest area and sat down with him... the bench was right next to the curb at the main intersection of two busy streets. Brody maintained a sit and stay for 10 min straight and immediately returned to position when corrected. At one point a man walked up to water a planter right next to us... and same... no reaction from Brody at all. He stayed in a down position when I told him to "leave it". I don't even know how to begin to thank you all. The change in Brody seems nothing short of a miracle and he is doing so much better than I ever hoped! Walking with him in town was actually a pleasure! I am so proud of him and his progress! We plan to take short trips out and about every day. If he continues to do really well, we are going to take him to an outdoor restaurant on Friday. I never imagined being able to do these things with Brody. Because of his old behaviors, just taking him to the vet was a source of anxiety. I always wanted Brody to be able to do these things because it would mean a better life for him and for us... you guys made that all possible! So, clearly I am rambling. Just wanted to say: THANK YOU ALL A MILLION TIMES OVER! Best, Heather Ericksen (and Family)
