Just moved to town and needed a new dentist who took my insurance. Aronson Dental fit the bill although I was a bit hesitant since she is very young and new. Although the staff and Dr. Aronson are very friendly, the pros of this office end there. First of all, with every visit I encountered billing errors. Even specific charges we paid for up front and out of pocket were just unaccounted for and misapplied. Not what you want to be dealing with when dental procedures are already expensive enough with insurance! Next, the hygienists upsell all sorts of unnecessary procedures. I was talked into an expensive mouth screen to check for cancer. My dermatologist later told me that this was a scam and is in no way an effective cancer screen. My next concern was that a new dentist would tell me I needed fillings even if I didn't. I have never had a cavity before and don't want to break my record. But sure enough Dr. Aronson told me I might need several sealants, maybe a filling. So I made another appointment for the sealants and once there, the hygienist said, 'Ok, so we're doing one filling.' And I told her that I wasn't sure I needed it but Dr. Aronson proceeded to put the filling in anyway. And then the office said I needed to make ANOTHER appointment for any sealants. Long story short, I don't know if Dr. Aronson really knows what she's doing. It seems like she just performs whatever will get her the most money, not what you need. To top things off, I overheard another patient being told that they had had something 'crack' that Dr. Aronson had put in and it needed fixing. Bad news! read more

Aronson Family Dental has been hands down, my best experience in dentistry. I have been a client there for a few years now and without exception, there service is friendly, efficient, and complete. I have gone there for both routine exams and the reparation of a chipped tooth. I feel that my mouth has been healthier because of the care I received from Dr. Aronson and her team. I find their prices quite affordable for the care that I receive. I have had less than average experiences at other dentist offices who move you through like another cash cow. Unfortunately I have to revise the original 5 star review when she was in her older office to reflect the care I received several years ago from her again in the new one. Her service changed big time to reflect her needing $ for her brand new building and not providing the same level of customer service I expected. Mrs Aronson was out on maternity leave and I had an appt set up for a filling with her. The woman she hired to take her place while she was gone was terrible. She didn't know what she was doing. She "filled" my tooth but she didn't buff down the filling so I couldn't feel it and it stuck out. It was in between two teeth. I kept saying it didn't feel right and a rough part was hitting my tongue when I ran it on the side of my teeth and she said it looks fine and sent me on my way. I returned when Mrs Aronson came back just to get a second opinion and said it looked fine to her and sent me on my way but only after charging me a ton just to have her look at it for 5 min which did not make me happy. I felt like she just wanted my money and didn't care how I felt. I could tell the filling wasn't placed in there right and it continued to be rough and not smoothed out like every single other filling I've had done in my lifetime. Probably catching on everything I ate as I ate it. Not even a couple years later this thing has now chipped off where it stuck out (not while eating or anything, I was walking around in a store) and now it has completely fallen out. I have had all my other fillings for 20-25 years and not one has fallen out, ever. I'm not happy at all. I couldn't afford her dental care anymore anyway due to her exorbitant pricing after all that, so I hadn't returned. I would avoid this place unless you want someone to blow off your concerns and have to redo poor work and also charge you extremely high prices! I'm a nurse so I know what good customer service is in any healthcare field and this isn't it. Listen to your patients and if it's bothering them then replace it or fix it and I wouldn't now be looking for someone to replace this entire filling before I have to get a root canal because who knows if she even did a good job from the start! read more

I would strongly encourage you to find another dentist. First, the billing is always wrong and extremely high compared to other places. My dental plan is a reimbursement plan in which I have to pay 50% out of pocket. Well, I found out that they charge higher rates to people such as myself, so I was always paying a lot out of pocket. I found this out when they accidentally gave me a bill for the cheaper amount, and later (like 6 months later) sent me a bill that was a few hundred dollars higher. Also, they seem to charge extra for "deep cleaning" that is part of routine cleanings at other places. I got so fed up with the billing and paying so much out of pocket that I decided to go to another dentist. This was after I had paid ALOT of money for a couple of cavities and some sealants. Come to find out, it was all done incorrectly. First, the filling was not done right and I now have to pay my new dentist to fix it. Second, the sealants that were put on my teeth weren't done correctly. Also, I'm told that this was a complete waste of money, as sealants are more for kids and adults need something different. One thing I will give them is that they are friendly. However, being friendly doesn't help my teeth or my budget and my new dentist is just as friendly. read more

The ridiculousness of this place is astounding, I got a call a couple of months ago claiming that I owed them money from my last visit, this said visit had been over a year ago!! The reason I was given is that they had a new person reviewing all the financials and that my insurance took long to pay them... We came over to Dr. Aronson because our favorite hygienist , Wendy, moved over there, and we have been totally pleased with Dr Aronson and the entire staff. I had found that my previous dentist seemed to be a little extravagant in recommending treatment, perhaps to pay for their office remodel, However, I have nothing but good things to say about Dr Aronson and her staff. I hadn't been to a dentist for probably close to 20 years when I first went to Aronson Family Dental a few years ago...there was a lot of work to do. (Did you know that poor dental health can contribute to other issues like heart disease? I'm getting older and need to do everything I can to improve my health - I was really worried about the condition of my teeth and gums, and so I had a significant impetus to finally get in to see a dentist and not let things get any worse.) I'm sure the first thing I did was look around to find someone in my health plan network (and they are), so as far as cost goes for me, even with all the work that's been done, I feel like I've hardly paid anything out of pocket. Dr. Aronson (who is very nice and very knowledgeable) checked me out, repaired a few issues, and my awesome hygienist Alex went to work on the rest with deep cleanings, etc. At first I had to go in probably half a dozen times in just a few months to get everything taken care of - there was a lot of tartar/plaque buildup to scrape off and other things that needed fixing. Now, after all that work, with continuing regular visits and cleanings, I feel confident that my teeth and gums are in good shape, thanks to Alex, Dr. Aronson, and all the other friendly people at Aronson Family Dental. read more

The office and the people are nice but hold on to your hat, you'll fall over from shock at the "Treatment Plan". Three family members went and we each got a "plan" listing every little thing not perfect, each over $2000! And that's the out of pocket. Mine included $6200 worth of work with my out if pocket at $2900. I just want a functional, healthy mouth, not perfect-in-every-way teeth. My mouth is healthy, I go to a periodontist for cleanings every three months. Some of the things she said needed immediate attention the next dentist I saw said are completely normal wear and tear and can be monitored and fixed IF it becomes a problem. The new dentist found only one small cavity. And it will cost me less than $80. Plus, I took my son in for a routine cleaning and one filling, agreed to some sealant at the price quoted and was billed for much more. And he swears they didn't do any drilling. I felt scammed and like she's just in it for my money. Who can afford a perfect mouth? read more
