In 2020, when I left social work behind, l didn't immediately search for the next job. Instead, I sought resources to help me find myself and uncover my true purpose in life. That's when my good friends, Nat & Dan, recommended A Path That Fits-a career und life coaching program that truly made a difference in my journey. From that moment, l knew I was heading in the right direction. I am not here because I needed a JOB... I am here because @connectmortgagegroup and I - ARE MEANT TO BE HERE!!! This passion has started since 2004 when I started as a part time College Student and part time Loan Processor. If you're feeling lost, stagnant, or even complacent, turn to prayer-and if you're looking for additional guidance, I highly recommend A Path That Fits to help you discover your true purpose and calling, one that brings you 1000% happiness! I'm so grateful I found Adrian Klaphaak - Purpose Coach before getting married and having kids-it gave me the chance to truly find ME - MYSELF.

I had promised myself earlier in my life that I would never allow this to happen, but it did. I also found myself more anxious and stressed than ever. My partner encouraged me ( ie forced me) to get a complimentary consultation with Michael at Sunrise Health and Fitness. I signed up for two sessions a week for six months and things have changed a lot since then. There were many days when I didn't want to go but after I got there Michael and his wife Julie would put me at ease and Michael would tailor the work out based on my mood and energy level. Michael is great at reading a person's mental situation and working with you to create a unique experience with each training session. The space itself is immaculate and it's completely one on one so no need to fear looking silly or feeling badly about how you look and feel. At Sunrise they really want to help you not only physically but also mentally. Highly recommended!

I'm a dabbler. I'm curious in learning a bunch of things and wanting to try out different jobs. Due…read moreto social conditioning amongst many other reasons, I've always felt that wasn't okay and that dabbling should result in eventually getting to the "thing" I'm supposed to do. Like you get a few years after college to try stuff out, but eventually, people expect you to settle into one thing and start building your career in it. By the time you hit your 30s/40s, you should be well-established in said career. I saw this reaffirmed all around me with peers who were now being promoted to VP of some bank or Manager of some org. I'd always felt like something was wrong with me. Was I too lazy or flakey to want to put in the work to commit to building a career in something? Should I just pursue careers where you can do a bunch of stuff, like go be a consultant, which would ultimately lead me down the rabbit hole of considering business school yet again even though I know I have no interest in business school? Worse yet, I felt like I was having the same conversations with myself over and over again (like going to business school). This reached a head a few months ago when I found a journal from college graduation where I told myself that I hoped I would find my thing and would find meaning in doing it. I was at a moment of yet another career transition, and I finally decided to put an end to this decade-long conversation when it hit me that it was very possible that me 10 years from now would be feeling the same thing I was feeling in that moment. I started searching for career coaches just wanting someone to point me in the direction of which path I should be on. I found Lindsay's site, and I knew immediately that she would get me. Her language was just spot-on in what I was feeling: - "Unclear what you want to do do ... so of course you have no plan or strategy for what to do in your career." - "You're getting tired of asking yourself "why am I still here?" year after year. The waffling is a constant companion and the swirl of shiny options shows up like clockwork." I laughed so hard when I read this: "Is it more grad school? Should I stop being a lawyer? Should I immediately move to France and write books?" I knew Lindsay was who I wanted to work with because she specialized in working with people like me. I didn't have to explain myself. She got it because she was in my spot at one time. Just even in our consulting session, she revealed to me that what I was feeling was completely not unique. You'd think not feeling special would be a crappy feeling, but I felt a huge sense of relief in knowing this. I felt like I wasn't some weirdo, I wasn't alone, and more importantly, I could be "fixed" because there are other people like me. What I didn't understand until after starting to work with her over the course of 3 months was that there was nothing to fix. It sounds incredibly cliche, but she gave me so many lightbulb moments that led to clarity and confidence in moving forward. I've never really experienced the power of a reframe but having a shift in perspective makes all of the difference in how you view your past decisions and guiding you towards your next one. I can't say that I've come out of it with a 10-year plan. Lindsay's a coach, not a fortune teller. And I can't say that I even know where I'll be a year from now, but I carry so much less guilt in not knowing now. I view my journey as a delight to figure out, rather than a burden that I've been tasked with solving. And I feel so liberated in knowing what I have to offer as a "dabbler" instead of as a person without 10 years of experience in xyz. Lindsay has meticulously crafted a 3-month program to work through that covers values, strengths, personal narratives. It was hard and required a lot of hard reflection. She pairs each assignment with a 1-hour coaching session to discuss. I had my doubts. Maybe these assignments wouldn't work for me (I'd gotten no value from doing assignments in self-help books before) or maybe 3 months wouldn't be enough time to see any results. She reassured me that, again, I wasn't unique, and the program had been honed to see results. Of course, she was right. I tried talking myself out of coaching so many times because I felt like I should just be able to figure it out by myself ("I just need to read one more self-help book!"). Ultimately, I realized that I already spent this long trying to DIY it with clearly no success, and it was unacceptable to me to have the same unanswered questions 10 years from now. I am so grateful to Lindsay as well as myself for making this investment.
