Unfortunately, our experience with Dr. Nayna Patel was very disappointing. While she initially came…read moreacross as empathetic, that quickly changed once my mother-in-law began expressing her concerns. After briefly reviewing her MRI, Dr. Patel dismissed her symptoms and told her that injections would not work, that her spine was "closed," and that surgery was the only option. The conversation felt rushed and one-sided, with surgery being pushed without exploring or discussing other possible treatments. When we tried to follow up with questions and concerns, the office did not return our calls for over a week. When we finally received a response, we were told that my mother-in-law had "trust issues" and that Dr. Patel would not continue working with her. This was extremely unprofessional and upsetting, especially for someone who was simply seeking clarity and reassurance about her health. Ironically, we are now grateful that the relationship ended, because we found another doctor who took the time to properly evaluate her MRI, said surgery was not necessary, provided injections, and my mother-in-law is now doing great and feeling significantly better. Every patient deserves to be heard, respected, and given options -- not dismissed or labeled for asking questions. Based on our experience, we would not recommend Dr. Patel.

Dr. Jackson knew right away what I…read morehad, was able to explain my test findings, and explained the course of treatment in easy-to-understand language. Headache specialists are hard to find, and I'm grateful that I had access to one. They seem to see a good deal of patients with migraines. If you're not familiar with Scripps Health, you should know that several providers are associated with, but not directly part of Scripps Health. It can be hard to figure out who's who and where. The agents at Scripps seem to favor their own; I didn't love that part. The care itself was good quality, though. Other than the one issue, I felt that people were trying to help.

It's obvious if you have something other than normal routine care needs he is NOT a doctor for you…read more Have seen him twice for the same issue that is only getting worse. He did submit for a test "STAT" but didn't bother to submit details to the insurance company to justify it. Therefore the test was refused. I received paperwork from my insurance company stating I needed to have my Dr submit the specifics as to why he wants the test done. Did he ever do that NO! Just saw Dr. Patay again today and he just laughed it off telling me I could appeal it if I wanted. When I gave him the denial paperwork I got from the insurance company and showed him where it stated what they needed he refused to read it just asking me what it said. WOW!!!! Don't you have to know how to read to pass medical school?? As I was leaving his office he again told me I can appeal the denial but he would again submit for the test. I asked if he was going to write the specifics as to the reason for the test and told me "I'll put you have a mass and submit a photo" WOW!!! He just doesn't get it!!! He will definitely NOT be an advocate for you. Hopefully I can get my issue dealt with and will be looking for a new doctor. Would NOT recommend.

Told her to get another Dr. And she reached out and is helping her out. Been seeing him for numbness and soreness. Told me to go home and don't eat any more protein bats and come back in 3 moths. Seek out for a second opinion and finally getting results I need. My good friend went to go see Dr Patay and he told my friend he has flu like system and my friend died 4 moths later. He doesn't care and should not practice at Scripps anymore. Can't stand him.Negative zero ratings O stars
