Crab cake eggs Benedict
Joan P.

We made reservations for Sunday brunch. It was wonderful! We were seated next to a window that overlooked the bay. My husband had the crab cake eggs Benedict and I had French toast that had a sweet sour cream drizzle and fruit on it. Mimosas were only $5 so we had two each. We asked that the mimosas be half champagne and half juice and they followed our wishes. Our waitress, Katie, was sweet and didn't hurry us through our meal. We'll be back!

Our server Karli was wonderful. She was so sweet! My friend enjoyed her crab cake benedict. The cheese grits didn't have much flavor in my opinion. I didn't love the smoked tuna dip or the tortilla chips served with it. They were sweet tasting. Ambiance is nice also- very cute/ beachy inside. Pricing was not bad either.

Fried shrimp with coleslaw and green beans

Doesn't look like much on the outside. Wasn't sure if it was even open because it was a holiday. But inside was cozy and spacious. The bar was definitely popular, probably regulars. Our server was very attentive at first but as the place filled up she kind of forgot about us. Had to ask another server to send her over. The She Crab soup was delicious! It was piping hot too but I was picking cartilage out of my mouth. My husband got the seafood platter, blackened and he really liked it. We were hoping the crab claws would've been bigger though. I got the fried shrimp with coleslaw and green beans. Beans weren't overcooked but didn't have much seasoning. Coleslaw was fine but could've used more seasoning also. The fried shrimp was lightly battered, large and really good. Not sure if we'll go back only because it was a bit far from where we're staying but would recommend.

Our group of approximately 25 people concluded celebrating a military retirement there with brunch there Sunday. Absolutely fabulous food, ambiance, and service! We failed to get a picture of the she crab soup before we finished it!

Great service and cozy restaurant with live music. Great food and nice portions. French toast and the Southern Breakfast are our favorites everytime!

Good food. Steaks and fish are good. Beet salad is good. Desserts are good. It's a solid choice for dinner.

Not a place for Sunday lunch. Over hour for food after being seated. Order was wrong. Eggs were super small. Not someplace I will return.

The host was very hospitable and seated us immediately although the table we were seated at was a little wet and sticky. My wife and I both ordered iced tea with lemon. Tea was ok but was not served with lemon. I reminded the waitress and after 5+ minutes we got our lemon. We both ordered the 1/2 pound burger lunch special, hers with a cup of shrimp and lobster chowder and I had a Caesar salad It took ~30 minutes to get our food which seemed like a rather long wait for 2 burgers a cup of soup and a salad. My wife absolutely loved the shrimp and lobster chowder and the Caesar salad was fine but could have used a bit more dressing. The burgers were absolutely not amazing. I'll go with a solid "meh". I'm going with 3 stars because of the slow service, so-so burgers (I have had tastier burgers from Costco), but these negative points were somewhat mitigated by my wife's glowing review of the soup. I don't expect we'll be rushing back here anytime soon. Total came out to $36.30 including tip.

Paige was our waitress and she was fantastic -- super attentive, friendly, and made us feel really taken care of without being over the top. Service like that makes a big difference. I ordered the filet and it was cooked perfectly -- tender, flavorful, and honestly one of the better steaks I've had in a while. The sides were just as good and definitely not an afterthought. Everything came out hot and well-timed. Overall, the whole experience exceeded my expectations. Great food, great service, and a really enjoyable atmosphere. I'll definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone looking for a solid steak and seafood spot. Thanks, Paige!

Hadn't been since around 2010, so I gave it another shot in 2026 -- and man, I hate to say it, but it's not the same restaurant I remember. I know the storm tore through and they had to rebuild, and I get that everything's changed around here. But the food didn't hold up. I ordered the $40 filet and it tasted like I grabbed it off a gas station shelf and cooked it on my dashboard at high noon. Way too much good Florida beef around for a steak to come out that flat and sad. My wife had a cheeseburger, my daughter had the kid steak, and the whole thing ran $100. Good lord, Janice. I know COVID handed every place an excuse to crank prices up, but $100 for that just isn't right. I'll give them this -- the sweet red chili chicken wings we started with were actually good. That was the high point. The restaurant itself, the environment seemed sterile. It didn't have character. Restaurants are too sterile nowadays and lack that. Highly disappointed, and I genuinely hate writing this. This used to be one of my spots. Hoping they find their footing again, because the old Rodeo's was something special.

After a so-called "fine dining" restaurant completely failed to accommodate our party (with reservations), Hunt & Gather stepped in without hesitation and made our evening unforgettable. Our table ordered a little bit of everything, and every dish was outstanding -- elk burgers, baked fish, bolognese, filet mignon, and the quail quesadillas were all incredible. The lamb lollipops remain my absolute favorite, and the flash-fried Brussels sprouts were perfection. We also sampled all of the desserts, and not a single one missed the mark. Their beer and wine selection is fantastic as well, and the blackberry cider was especially delicious. A huge shoutout to our server, Paul, who was warm, attentive, and incredibly efficient. He seemed to anticipate what we needed before we even had to ask. If you're looking for consistently amazing food, excellent service, and a restaurant that truly knows how to take care of its guests, do yourself a favor and visit Hunt & Gather. I usually sit at the bar with David, who is hands down one of the best bartenders I've ever interacted with. The service and atmosphere always make the experience even better. The new bar next door for cocktails and appetizers while you wait to be seated is also an excellent touch and adds to the overall experience.
