Most crystal shops tend to be located out in the suburbs or farther out. The Rock Shop is located inside the same building as The Studio Cleveland and metered street parking is available outside. Given the nature of this less busy street, it's actually not super difficult to find a street spot, especially if you come during a non-peak time (think not Saturday afternoon in the city). The inside is a gorgeous, thoughtfully curated emporium of absolutely beautiful stones, jewelry, home decor, apparel, books and more. The minute you walk in, you are overcome with feelings of beauty and relaxation. If you're new to the metaphysical world, particularly crystals, know that there are a lot of fake products out there or unethically sourced items. Owner Sara takes so much pride in ensuring the quality and origins of her items and she (as well as her staff) are extremely knowledgeable about everything they sell. Essentially inside the first floor of one of the homes in Tremont (to give you an idea of the vibe), every surface is packed and curated somehow without looking cluttered and making you feel overwhelmed. Street parking is plentiful in the area. From older books to sets of glassware (that were stunning but I had no particular place for them at this point) to a little bit of everything in between. You can tell the owner put a lot of love and thought into the curation. The owner's mom was manning the desk when I was there and she was lovely. After the initial heartfelt hello I was left to browse in peace which is always my preference. I'm always here for a conversation but it's always easier to have at the end of my browsing whether I've bought anything in particular or not. Given the nature of the business I would assume there's quite a bit of turnover in the stock and I'm curious to come back and see what's new-to-me.

I tried two of their teas at women's circle event, loved the gentle combination of herbs before finally venturing out to experience it. AMBIANCE: Worts & Wards is the most spacious metaphysical store in the city. The store is divided into two themes and rooms - worts (herbs) and wards (witchy/magic). The store is well organized, meticulous, has light aesthetic, and ambient lighting. I love the store's layout because there's enough room to wander whereas other similar stores feel overwhelmed with too much stuff and too little space. This store feels well organized and spacious. The scents in the air add to the atmosphere. Sage maybe, not sure?! The space has a few comfy chairs on the Wards side where you can lounge with tea, read a book, or just rest. The chairs face a fireplace with a cauldron. The fireplace is magically decorated with dried oranges for the season. I mean the place is a vibe! INVENTORY: There are so many treasures in the store! Worts side has tall shelves with endless herb and spice jars (all organic), herbal house made skincare, herbal books, honey, ceramics, pet care, and much more. Words side crystal bracelets, gorgeous journals, crystals galore, feathers, books, loungewear, incense, tarot decks, yoga mats, candles, and so much more. Literally anything that is the definition of metaphysical in your mind is here. All spiritual gals who are into meditation, yoga, women's circle, witchcraft, and similar vibes will love it here as much as I do. There is a great level of inclusivity at this store representing various cultures and sexual orientations. TEA: I visited the store to buy herbal tea. I own entirely too much tea but no one is keeping me in check hence, why not more tea? I browsed the walls (each jar marked with price per oz), but ultimately purchased pre-mixed teas - Fairy Forest and Cozy Oats. Fairy Forest ($3.75/oz, 2 oz) described as ethereal and calming containing lavender, chamomile, lemongrass, rosemary, and lemon verbena. I will admit that I purchased it for the name! Cozy Oats ($5.75/oz for 2 oz) that contains chamomile, oat straw, lemon balm, cinnamon, and vanilla. The sales associate shared that most buyers describe it tasting like oats. To me the tea tastes like chamomile herbal blend, very delicious and delicate. I also experienced the blend of the day - Hold on, Hangover. Very pleasant, slight citrusy taste. The teas were pretty much market price compared to other stores, well balanced, and well packaged. The packages seal and look very presentable for gifting as do shopping paper bags. You can also create your own blend and obtain recommendations from staff for your individualized needs. They'll save your tea blend in their system so that you can purchase the same blend next time. I definitely will create some custom blends next time. SERVICE: The service is very engaging and warm. I was immediately greeted and offered tea, which was so thoughtful considering winter season. My needs were heard and products suggested in a very authentic manner. I was invited to events at the shop. Customer service seemed open and genuine. EVENTS: The store has a large back space for events. The events are posted on their website and are just starting to ramp up. They'll have visits from monks, tarot reading, and many other activities. I love events and activities, look forward to signing up. Actually, already considering one two days from now! PARKING: Paid parking lot is available right next to the Market Avenue. There is also paid parking at the West Side Market across the street. I really loved my time at Worts & Wards. I already live in regret of not purchasing: custom tea blends, witch broom, eucalyptus bunch, witchy journal, and honey. I'll be back very soon to spend more intentional time in this space.
